It seemed to be the running theme in his life lately. He was falling in love with women that couldn't be tied down in that moment. He wanted to wait, she could change her mind. He nodded his head to her words, not truly taking it to heart. How could she not be catching feelings too? She clearly must be denying them. Deep down.

"Paris it is, I'll arrange for us to get a portkey," he said excitedly.

	There was something in the way he was looking at her that told Scarlett to exercise caution. Unfortunately, she never was good at listening to that little voice. "Just tell me the dates first. He'd come back with those dates awfully quick, she noted with a look of bemusement. How long had he been plotting this overnight trip to the continent? Was he dreaming up some sort of romantic story, that he'd take her there and she would just fall utterly and hopelessly in love with him? Marry him and start popping out a bunch of babies like his mum had? She very nearly shuddered at the thought. "I will," she promised, leaning back against the arm of the couch and stretching one leg out to poke his leg with her toes as she snagged the bottle of whiskey, pouring a shot directly into her mouth from the bottle.
