“Yeah, it is. And even if you’re not the first, you’ll probably be the best,” Albie joked. “You always were better than me at everything.” Being something of a disappointment had always been a sort of badge of honour for Albie, everyone in the family always so sure that he was capable of so much more. But he’d managed to knock up his best friend’s sister when she’d barely been of age. Merlin, he needed to make changes.
“And there’s my new little sister to add to the mix, which is still so weird to think about.” He hadn’t felt ready for a sibling, let alone a son of his own. “Nan’s going to be in her element. Just imagine all the tiny knitwear.”
