Since she’d moved into one of the flats above McLaggen’s Magical Sports on Victory Road, Iris felt as though she had become a lot more likely to run into people she knew. For the most part, this was a good thing and run-ins with exes she would prefer to avoid had been rare.
She was halfway through a coffee when she heard her name, one hand wrapped firmly around the reusable cup she liked to take with her when visiting the coffee shop. Spotting Aldrich, she grinned at him from warm grey beanie hat that she’d pulled on before venturing out into the cold. "Hiya."
Iris gave him an openly dubious look at his suggestion that she was still shopping. "Nope, all done." Thanks to the incredible products that other creators sold through the Creative Collection, she had been able to get almost all her presents in one place. Some people were so talented that she couldn’t believe Katarina was gracious enough to let her sell her subversive little cross stitches there. "I’ve just been to Higher Grounds. My aunt texted me to say she had some pastries that were too wonky to sell." She gave the paper bag she was carrying a little shake.
