"Just your being here helps," he told her, appreciating that she wanted to help.
Thad pulled away and snagged her hand, his fingers curling around hers. "C'mon," he murmured, guiding her back to the couch. He stretched out on the couch again, grinning up at her with a hint of mischief as he tugged her down to stretch out on top of him. He didn't think he needed to spell out that he wanted to cuddle with her there, to feel her weight against him, an anchor of sorts to the life he'd always known and loved.
