His reaction to the name of the author had Addison's brows furrowing slightly. Did he find the genre that ridiculous? Or did he, perhaps, know who the author really was? It was curious, and she filed it away for the moment.
"Well, they are quite well-written. History's not really my forte, but they're entertaining enough and not bogged down with the historical context that I've enjoyed the few I've read so far," she admitted.
For some reason that admission made her grin, though it probably had more to do with the clarification. "Are crime thrillers your preferred genre?" she asked. She know it was a popular one, and it wasn't hard to imagine why, but she would admit that she preferred less harsh and stressful themes. She didn't want to think about the atrocities people could inflict upon one another, much less read about them.
