Addison wrinkled her nose and shook her head. "No, you have nothing to be sorry about!" she reassured him. "You couldn't have been expected to know. I should probably socialize more so I can get used to it not being a thing, probably." It should be like getting back on a broom, right? But really, she didn't think he should feel bad; she'd just wanted him to understand why she was being so awkward with the conversation.
"I can see why! It all looks so yummy," she noticed with a grin. "Though most people seem to like dancing at these things too. Now that I think about it, though, that seems like a safety hazard." As good as she was with charms, she'd never been able to master clothes alterations. And when it came down to it, she hadn't wanted to change her mum's dress at all.
