Re: Peter & Addison
He saw something in her dim a little, and his hand automatically touched her elbow lightly, briefly, in response. Peter had a deep vein of compassion in him for almost everyone, and she was most definitely someone he could feel for, even if he didn't know what had made that shift in her eyes. He'd always had that streak in him, though he didn't really realize it, especially when he was busy doubting himself. But it showed through in things like this, where he did it as naturally as breathing. "Truth, but at least she doesn't nag. At least not yet." He supposed that really, they were kind of lucky in a way that Thad hadn't already provided them with a slew of littles, though he would have adore them if they did exist, he knew.
"Well, who needs a tosser like that, if he's going to up and leave you to your own devices," he said, a little bit of scorn touching his voice for that idiot who had left a lovely lady like her all on her own. "Oh, you must try one of these," he said, picking up a small tray with some small delicacies on it. He couldn't remember the name of them off the top of his head. "They're utterly delicious and I'm honestly tempted to stuff my face with them here and now."
