Frankie chuckled. So many people forgot, especially in a place like this, that not everyone grew up with magic. "Ah, yeah, muggleborn, remember?" she said, pointing at herself. "Real magic is more fun, but the differences can be interesting."
"Depends on my mood," she said with a shrug. Sometimes it was fun or relaxing, but if you picked the wrong time it wasn't so much fun. Early Saturdays could be usefully quiet, but she wasn't always in the mood then.
She could definitely read his twitchy behaviour and waved him off when he excused himself. "Yeah, it's fine. I'll keep letting my brain rest while you go back to being mysterious." It was a gentle teasing, but she liked Noah more than enough to not mind his dashing off and not explaining his job at all.
