It had been a last minute decision on Kenzie’s part to make plans with Albie. It had all started with his post about wanting a new tattoo, an offer to get a tour, and Kenzie hadn’t been able to stop thinking about him. It was why today she had sent him a message to get together at her place, even giving him her floo so that he could floo over.

While waiting on Albie to show up, she had pulled on a pair of jeans that had holes in the knees, a black tank that hugged her slender frame, and a large burgundy sweater that hung open exposing the tank and her midriff. Dark locks had been pulled back into a feral half-up/half-down bun that was still doing whatever it wanted. She knew she should have been waiting for him in the living room, yet she found herself stretched out on her bed, one leg dangling off the edge.

The noise from the floo still didn’t move her, as she blew a puff a smoke towards her ceiling. “In here!” she called out, far too comfortable with herself to even think of moving. They had snogged in school, he had seen well… Everything, or close enough. She was fully clothed, even if her midriff was showing. “How bad did the tattoos hurt?” she asked out loud, the question having been plaguing her for days now.

Albie had the day off and Maria had returned home following the renovations to prepare for tomorrow's full moon. He hadn't heard from her yet, but chances were he'd get a text later and join her for some much-needed distractions.

Hearing Kenzie call out to him, Albie chuckled and removed his shoes before following the sound of her voice. Since they'd had their fun back in school, he didn't stand on ceremony and found a spot on the bed beside her.

"Uh... depends where they are?" Albie wrinkled his nose as he thought about the question. After they were finished, he didn't really think about the pain. "Arms don't hurt too much in the scheme of things. Ribs are less fun." He grinned. "Thinking of getting one?"

Seeing that familiar head of hair come around the corner had her grinning, holding out the joint in offering to him. "Ouch, ribs hurt that bad?" she asked curiously, unable to help the slight pout that was gracing those full lips of hers. She had been debating getting something on her ribcage, some sort of geometric design that Scarlett could trace while they were high. Maybe she'd do circles.

"I'd like to, I just don't know what. Do you decide forever in advance?" she asked curiously, words just tumbling from her lips. Gods, he was still as hot as he had been in school, she thought with a wistful sigh. She was surrounded by beautiful people, she wondered if he was dating, but it didn't seem important just then. They were on tattoos. "I saw someone with a head tattoo the other night, that looked painful."

"Mm, not a lot of padding there." Propped up on his side, Albie, lifted his faded black t-shirt enough to show the bottom edge of a birdcage that was etched high on his ribs, a tattoo that wasn't often visible to most people. "That one made my eyes water."

He took the joint and let his shirt fall back into place. "Fuck no. A lot of them are spur of the moment. I never think too hard about them." So far, he didn't regret any of the tattoos either.

He was lifting his shirt, something Kenzie was very interested in. She scooted herself to sit up a bit, so that she could see the tattoo he was showing her. Eyes grew wide, the urge to touch the tattoo was hard to break, but the spell was broken when he let his shirt fall back into place. "Mental note, don't get one on the ribs. I don't know if I want it on my arms though," she mused, debating the different placements.

"Have you seen those that go..." She trailed off, with hands free she motioned towards her chest, just between her breasts, but lower. A sternum tattoo was what was she was trying to describe but unfortunately the words weren't coming to her. "I'd love to get one there, but I can only imagine it'd be ten times worse." She shivered at the idea, that didn't sound like fun.

"Yeah." Albie nodded, watching the movement of her hand as Kenzie gestured. He had a puff on the joint and passed it back to her. He didn't indulge often these days, but when in Rome... "I've been thinking about putting something there, don't know what. But I've met a new artist and he's designing something for my arm." Albie had liked what he'd seen of Raz's artwork so far and he was feeling confident about giving him some creative freedom with the forearm piece.

"Some people take body art so seriously." He slumped back to lie flat on his back. "I just like to have fun with it. With magic it doesn't have to be forever."

Kenzie happily took the joint as it was handed back, taking another couple of puffs, before she was rubbing it out for now. "You said you've got like a couple dozen?" she asked, trying to remember just what he had said in that comment.

"Have you ever had one removed?" This was a new subject that she was very interested in. Did he have any that he regretted? She was definitely going to make an appointment. She'd be sure to ask him before he left for the shop information.

"Something like that. I don't really count them." They were just a nice collection that he liked to add to when something struck his fancy, though the tattoos weren't exactly curated carefully. He flashed Kenzie a grin. "Are you trying to get me to take my shirt off?" he joked, though he had had few inhibitions, even without the weed.

He shook his head, a strand of his own wavy hair tickling his cheek. "Nah." Some of them were maybe a bit questionable in terms of position and quality, but he didn't feel any pressing need to excise any from his body. "But I've been told I'm young and foolish. Maybe one day I'll wise up and change my mind."

Their friendship was easy, Kenzie found herself sticking her tongue out at him when he flashed her a grin. "I wouldn't be opposed, I'd like to think though that I wouldn't have to try to get you to take your shirt off," she teased, flirting just a touch. She couldn't remember if he had a girlfriend or not, if she were honest it didn't matter to her. If he made a move, she'd go for it, she would not however make a move without green lights. Flirting was harmless though, she was sure of it.

"I literally hate that," she said with another puff from the joint. "What does it even matter if it's your body? They don't have to look at it, you do. Your temple, you should adorn it as you please," she ranted, passing the joint back, moving then to snag her camera from where had left it. "I do want to get pictures though, if you don't mind? I haven't photographed anyone with tattoos yet, I wanted to see if I could do something..."

"Oh, I'm shameless," Albie agreed, sitting up. He often wore short sleeves to show off the tattoos on his arm and he was something of a fan of a deep V in his shirts so people had probably seen a lot more of his tattoos than they knew. He pulled off his shirt, tossing it on the floor.

"Exactly. It's my body, I'm the one who has to live in it." Albie shuffled back a bit to lean against the wall. He drummed his fingers on his stomach. "I kind of want something here. Something big. Like a flower or, um, butterfly? I haven't decided yet." He shrugged at Kenzie's question. "Yeah, go ahead. I'm not shy."

With the go ahead, she moved only far enough to be able to lay on the bed beside him on her stomach, and frame the pictures in her view finder, before she was snapping pictures of Albie and his tattoos. Focusing mainly on his tattoos, but he was just so photogenic. She couldn't help but get some of him as well.

"A flower or butterfly? I think that'd be pretty. You might be able to combine the two if you talk to an artist, you said you had an artist right?" she asked as she moved about, taking the pictures. "I met someone recently with one of those full sleeve tattoos on both arms, it was nuts. They had little characters and tiny pieces all over, it made a beautiful picture, but it had to have hurt," she thought out loud.

Albie picked up a book that was by Kenzie's bed and pretended to hide his face behind it. He pulled a few faces at the camera, too, because he couldn't take anything seriously for too long.

"Yeah, sort of. We connected on Winstagram. His name's Raz and he's opened a new place on Victory Road. But I want to see what he can do with my arm before trying a bigger piece." Albie looked down at his forearms as Kenzie snapped a few more shot. "I expect I'll end up with sleeves one day," he mused. "I'll just fill in the gaps until I run out of room."

"That'll look hot," Kenzie said without missing a beat, continuing to snap pictures. He was a breath of fresh air, the easy laid back attitude. She could get used to hanging out with him again, maybe this was what she needed. More, new, friends.

The rest of the afternoon was spent catching up, taking ridiculous pictures, and smoking a bit of weed. It was a good day, a relaxing day that she had needed after her little crisis the other day. Kenzie was finally starting to feel like herself.
