RP: Tagalong
Who: Lyra and Miguel
What: The first co-parenting prenatal appointment
When: 4 October 2027
Where: Healer's office.
Warnings: Tbd
Completion Status: In progress

Although he wasn't technically running late, Miguel hurried into the lobby of the Healer's office. He'd overslept this morning, but the last thing he wanted was to miss this appointment. He'd been nervous when he'd met with Lyra last week to talk about how they might proceed, but by the end of lunch, he'd been relieved and comforted by how serious she seemed to be about life and her children. She wasn't actually the reckless party girl he might have assumed the night they'd supposedly slept together. Or, at least, she was more than that.

Spotting Lyra sitting in the lobby, Miguel crossed to her, taking the empty chair next to her. Nerves were still coursing through him, though, and he wiped his palms on his trousers. There wasn't exactly a training manual for this sort of situation, after all, and even though Wednesday's lunch had gone well, there was a lot of unknowns when it came to Lyra and what sort of relationship they might have while co-parenting.

"Good morning," he greeted her just after sitting down. "How are you feeling today?" That seemed like a good start, though he couldn't fathom her being particularly relaxed or comfortable at this stage of pregnancy. How strange it was to only have a few months to mentally prepare for a baby on the way, but wishing he could have known right away wouldn't make any difference.
