"Huh. That's weird." Well, the whole situation with Kenzie, Wes and Scarlett was a bit weird as far as Iris was concerned, but as long as she didn't seem to be hurting herself what could Iris really say?
Kenzie's question about her stage name made Iris grin. "I was throwing around ideas with Eve," she explained. "It was just a joke, you know? Going from the goddess of the rainbow to the goddess of night? I just thought it was funny."
As Kenzie spoke, Iris seemed to shrink back into the sofa, her eyes widening in alarm at the epic love story that her romance-loving cousin spun. She was so caught up in the mention of Penny's name that she didn't realise at first that Kenzie was just talking generally about the witch and her sister. Penny had said that her thing with Hailey had been a long time ago and Iris had assumed it was just something from their school days that she hadn't noticed - since she was two years younger and in a different house, not to mention studying for her dream job as a Healer, she hadn't paid much attention to anyone who was outside of her classes or her common room. "Kenz," she said finally, voice strained. "I think I fucked up."
