It was always fascinating to see how people responded to the price. Having grown up extremely poor in the foster system, ten galleons still seemed like a lot to him, even with the wealth he'd amassed over the years. And by amassed, he meant conned out of others, of course. This man had clearly not grown up poor, though Phoenix wasn't inclined to con him at the moment. "I'll take the kiss first," he decided, thinking that even if he didn't get the cash, he wouldn't be disappointed.
It wasn't as though he needed the money, and fun and pleasure were the much bigger goals for him these days.
