Beau had a deep appreciation for discretion, the alcove cocooning them in a way that soothed a little of his anxiety. It was dark there, but he could still see the interest glittering in the other man's eyes. The darkness suited Phoenix, he though. Spaces like this were made for men with secrets.
Now he let his gaze pass over the length of Phoenix's tall frame, drinking him in. "I'm flexible," he confirmed carefully with a hint of a smirk, heart pounding as his back pressed against the wall. Phoenix's warning about payment shouldn't have had him feeling like this, but apparently he wasn't completely over the thrill of a illicit encounter. "I need something to make this slow down a bit," he said, tapping his temple. "I have to get out of my own head." He could have asked Kenzie for help getting stoned, but he wasn't ready to be truly candid with her.
