"Mm hm." Beau watched Nate’s fingers on his skin, moving a little closer to better enjoy the comfortable warmth. The Sober-Up had purged the alcohol from his system, but it did nothing to negate a twelve-hour day on set followed by a night out. Weariness wended through him making everything feel heavy. He didn’t want to get Nate’s hopes up, but it was just so easy to touch him. Since the simulation room he had wanted that sort of intimacy more than ever.
“Family first." If there was any hope for their relationship, they would need to know before it hit the media. “Somehow. Maybe not in person? I don’t know if I want to see their faces." He wouldn’t be coming out just once, he realised. It would have to happen over and over again on a smaller scale for years. Being with a man didn’t negate that he liked women too and vice versa, but his choice of partner would likely paint him as gay or heterosexual in many people’s eyes; neither of those labels were who Beau was so once he owned his truth he would be defending it from then on.
“Can you even imagine what it’s like being straight and not having to deal with this shit?”
