Beau let Nate unbutton his shirt, gaze drifting to a clock that told him it was nearly two o'clock. By the time he'd stripped down to his boxers, he felt even more settled. Normally when he turned in for the night it was his mind's chance to bombard him with a million questions about his insecurities. Yet now that he'd voiced the main question — What do you think would happen if I told everyone? — he was finally getting a break from that chaos.
He sat on the edge of his bed, scrubbing a hand over his face. "And how many Head Boy and Head Girl badges did you spot?" he asked, managing a bit of humour. When he'd first seen the theme night advertised, Beau had considered inviting Scarlett along for fun, remembering her skills in that area.
