Beau surprised him in taking the potion. Nate had fully expected to talk down the swirling thoughts enough to get some water in him and tuck him safely into bed--he certainly wouldn't have slept with him in the state he'd been, but that wouldn't be a concern now. He leaned back, his hands stretched out behind him as Beau hurried to the kitchen sink, giving the man a bit of space to work through the sudden sobriety. There was a reason a lot of people didn't bother with Sober-Up. It would do the job, but it was never a pleasant experience.
