3:55 pm [iamisaac]	Welcome Welcome to IJ's 12dayschristmas community! It is a mirror of the LJ one set up by lycoris over there and all of the challenge is written by her and invented by her. Scandalously, I missed this line out when I first put this up as I copied and pasted directly from her version. Sorry lycoris :) I hope everyone has fun. For those who haven't done it before, here's an explanation of the challenge. I write the 12 days of Christmas, we then write the fics for them! Which is, in theory, 78 fics. You then post them up on the correct days (fic one goes up on December 26th, the next two fics go up on December 27th and so on, until January 6th) It's not fandom-specific - any fandom is acceptable. Gen/Het/Slash are all acceptable too. So here is the 12 Days of Christmas challenge! :D 12 summer nights, 11 rainy days, 10 journeys, 9 kick-ass ladies, 8 lonely people 7 deadly sins 6 flights of fancy 5 crossdressers 4 going steady 3 nightmares 2 breakups And one declaration of love Clarifications of what they mean or could mean - or perhaps more accurately, MY interpretations of what they mean! 12 summer nights. (6th January) This one is as self-explanatory as I can make it. Anything you like on a summer night! :D 11 rainy days (5th January) Rainy days - either actual or less actual. There's loads of sayings about rainy days - "It never rains, but it pours." "Saving for a rainy day." Feel free to play around! 10 journeys (4th January) Maybe your character is going on holiday. Maybe an emotional journey. Who knows? 9 kick-ass ladies. (3rd January) They don't have to actually literally kick-ass as in fight. They just have to be awesome and the fic should be about them in some way. 8 lonely people (2nd January) Lots of lonely people out there. They don't have to STAY lonely of course. :) 7 deadly sins. (1st January) For the sake of this challenge, the seven deadly sins are anger, lust, sloth, greed, envy, pride and gluttony. You don't have to write all seven about the different ones (although that would be cool) - heck, use one for all seven fics if you want! The Wiki article is rather interesting if you want inspiration. Six flights of fancy (31st December) Fantasies. Sexual or not, either is fine. 5 crossdressers (30th December) Fairly self-explanatory. As usual, take it however you want - crossdressing once for a kink, regular crossdressers, anything goes. 4 going steady. (29th December) Four fics about four relationships that have been going for a while. No limit as to how many of course. Or even romance. Friendships can "go steady" too after all. 3 dreadful nightmares. (28th December) We all have bad dreams. 2 breakups. (27th December) Relationships don't always last. And one declaration of love. (26th December) A confession, an announcement, a proclamation - however you want it to be! Extra rules - all lengths allowed. Long fics, ficlets, drabbles, one-sentence stories - all perfectly acceptable. - you may either post the fics here under an LJ cut or you may post the links here. Your choice entirely. Just make sure you use an LJ cut, put suitable warnings on your fic, etc. - fics may be reused. For example, if your fic for 2 is a breakup on a summer night, you can also post that fic again on the 6th January. Just mark it clearly to say that it is a repost. - HOWEVER - the fics must have been written for the challenge. No reposting old fic because they happen to fit. (9 Comments |Comment on this)
