TIME UPDATE
Day 2.
Weather: The captives first night in Mount Zenith is rather chilly, with temperatures dipping to 55° Fahrenheit. Temperatures steadily climb once the sun rises, settling around 75 in the afternoon.
Events: Regardless of what happened yesterday, what the captives did or even where they fell asleep, once again everyone wakes up back in their assigned rooms. Those who took their bracelets off will have them on again. The IVs have not been replaced, so... win some, lose some?
Well, mostly lose. Those who took the time to destroy any cameras they found will discover they have been replaced. Womp womp.
It's worth noting that everyone does sleep. Even if an individual did everything in their power to stay awake through the night, at some point sleep will overcome everyone, and it will feel rather natural. Once again, captives will begin to wake up around 8 in the morning.
There is one thing that everyone will (or at least should) notice is different in their rooms: there is a blinking light on their computers. Yes, every captive has a desktop computer in their bedroom (incapable of connecting to the internet, of course), and a small red light is blinking on the monitor. It's bright enough to be noticable, but probably not bright enough to wake a light sleeper. Captives will find that their computers are in sleep mode - all they need to is press a key on the keyboard or move the mouse and the monitor will flick on. At which point, a message immediately appears. It reads:
Greetings.
Now that you've had time to settle in, allow us to explain a few things. You are here for a reason. Escape is impossible, and the sooner you accept that, the better off you will be. If you are compliant, you will be rewarded. If you make things difficult, you will be punished. Right now, that is all you need to know. This needn't be a hardship on any of you. You can choose to look at your time spent here as a blessing or a curse. It makes no difference to us. The choice of how you will be treated during your stay here is entirely up to you.
This computer is equipped for two things - writing and keeping a journal, and network communications with your fellow subjects. We require that you make use of these options on a regular basis. If you do not, you will be punished. From time to time you will receive orders on this computer - daily requirements that you must meet. Should that be the case, the light will blink again.
We have no requirements of you today. It is our suggestion that you take time to get to know each other and explore the town.
Thank you.
