i can't even begin to express how much i utterly adore all of you. i mean it. when i first joined you all with aislinn, we were just becoming campus and i had aislinn as an overeager freshman in 2009. and now as he starts completing his senior year, i am feeling something with him that i haven't felt in the past three and a half years that i have played him. i feel content and happy with him. and so, i am taking that as my sign to let well enough be and hang him up for good. but there is no way in hell that i can leave you all with a flimsy goodbye post and running of the removal button. so, here goes my weak attempt at praising all of the wonderful characters and writers i have met and had the pleasure of interacting with. since i don't wanna miss anyone by trying to start from 2009 and work forward, i'm just going in order of what i can freaking remember. before i go on, though, there is an important piece of praise i need to give out first.
hillies mods have been dedicated and wonderful in every single experience i have had with them. there have been so many college games living and dying in the span of an activity check period at hillies and i have been so lucky to have a place that has remained open, active, and in working order for my characters. people may have their grievances, but any set of mods that can keep a game running for this long and be this successful deserve praise. so thank you.
aym aly is one of the first people that aislinn met way back then and they went through so much together. granted, none of it turned out exactly how either of them pictured it to be, but their friendship has been such a huge rollercoaster from the ups of summer to the downs of their feelings and back to the ups of him breaking out of a relationship. their criminal minds nights were so much fun for him and i and no matter what, aislinn always adored that aly still managed to think so highly of him after everything that happened with them.
meodavenport meo meo meo. their relationship is one of the funniest ones i've played out because of how rude that they were to each other. but then in the background of that, they talk to each other decently and whenever aislinn needed a smack to reality, he would come to her and confide in her and she'd take it seriously. it's one of those relationships that really is one way on the outside but totally different underneath that. but even if he's not around anymore, just know that he's teasing her in his head despite his absence from the game, always. especially about all the brick throwing days in high school.
coopman aislinn and cooper had so much potential, but i wanted to address this anyway because even though aislinn hasn't been super talkative, he's always seen so much of himself with cooper, especially moreso recently than in the past when it comes to pike. so he and i hope that he continues to flourish in everything. croun there are no words for aislinn and bj's relationship. i've always loved their pseudo-romantic chemistry and the chats that they've had about their little issues outside of pike. as a character, i adore bj for so many different reasons and i wish i could stick around for one more semester of it with aislinn. ausreed deadpool had to have his own shoutout as well because of just how much work was put into him by aislinn. he sorta took him under his wing and has seen austin start to grow in so many ways, and he's such a novel and unique character. their interactions have been so hilarious to me, i love them. and of course, thepikes man, such a good group of individuals. i could go through each and everyone of you by name but the most pivotal part of current and past pikes are the hilarious chats that carry on into early hours of the morning, the ideas and the seamless collaboration with which you all work so well together, and the fun times that have been had watching the reputation of the organization change and mold throughout the years. they've had their fair share of drama but they remained together through it all and have worked through everything thrown in front of them.
dinsmor & horten, you get combined because the two of you were part of my favorite aspect of having had aislinn for so long. he met and knew zack first from lacrosse and because they were in the same pledge class together. i think my favorite part about aislinn was the lacrosse team and i adored watching them play over the past three years (and you better believe i'll still be watching this next season for him as well). their friendship was also one of my favorites and zack is such an amusing character, both in his behaviors and his interactions. it wasn't until he left for the army last summer that aislinn got close to claudia. and i have to say, she's one of the smartest and most reasonable friends that he's got. he really relied on her for a lot of things and part of the reason why he's in such the happy place that he's in is because of her urging him to always look out for himself and his wellbeing. being a part of their wedding was such a highlight for him and it means so much to him that he even had the opportunity to be so close to the two of them.
adle before things got quiet for aislinn, i have to say that he enjoyed his numerous hilarious conversations with dela. there is also this picture in their custom that i can't remember how it came about, but it's cracking me up. talking to adele was such a breathe of fresh air for aislinn considering how much drama was perpetuated with him and females. she will always be one of his favorite females to converse with. tagging bropa, nelida, and raisie onto this list. the few times that aislinn got to talk to brooke, she was always such a pleasure and a joy to be around. and her comments on his photos were some of the most LOLworthy, priceless moments. nelida...i have never met another human being who has even known about in the heights and it was just about the only musical i ever had aislinn see, so it was such a coincidence that the two of them knew and bonded over it. even though they met under pretty rough circumstances with wyatt as a shared friend between them, they managed to stay close enough on rare moments to hold really deep conversations with each other. and last but not least of the group, raisie aka raislinn. i just love their friendship from them as little kids to them now, bonding over their family stuff and their native hometown pride. raisie is such a well-rounded character outside of their friendship and she has had some of the most simple, yet mesmerizing entries and issues, from her sister to her sleeping habits and her relationship with theo and how she's worked through it.
rizzuto frankie and aislinn met on a whim and while i could go on and on about their relationship and chemistry, what i remember most over this time is how much frankie has grown. she came in as a freshman who swore and played games and just had this immature vibe around her to a young adult woman who stands up for herself and well, maybe she still swears and plays games, but it's been such a growing experience just watching her. she is a vibrant and wonderful character and their wolfbugship will always be one of my favorites.
cheyanne i didn't expect to find such a good female friend for aislinn because of all the troubles he's prone to having in that department, and as awk as it was to have her in the middle of him and wyatt at first, chey grew into it and became one of aislinn's best friends, right up there with wyatt. the two of them are ridiculous together and i can always count on a laugh when they decide to commit their commentary. i will miss that most of all from the last few weeks i've been actively around at hillies. chey is a wonderful character, friendly, vibrant, and silly. she's a great friend and has her share of struggles, and it has been a pleasure to have been so close in development every step of the way.
frits i had to mention frits because he is so eclectic and one of my favorite characters, from before he even started talking to ais (and i guess jamie, but this ain't about him). he is so unique and on a different level and plane altogether than most of the characters i have seen waltz in and out of the community. he is opinionated in such a casual, slightly haughty but still respectable way, and funny to interact with. his power hours with aislinn were some of the most sound, eye-opening advice that he's ever gotten from someone who could remain as impartial as frits did with everything. i just adore him and am grateful for the chance that aislinn had to befriend and interact with him.
arellano man, i am so bummed that these two crossed paths so late in the game. i have always admired cam from afar for so many obvious reasons. she is a strong-willed and focused character whose intelligence is on par with someone who has been well-learned in life and in scholastics, and i just find myself in constant awe of her. she is just consistently knocking people over the head with knowledge and at the same time, fighting off her own inner demons virtually single handedly. her and aislinn's 'friendship' as brief as it was, was refreshing for him during that time where he was trying to recover from a lot of separate things going on during the summer. i never expected it to culminate in the way that it did because i found myself dropping in on a whim with him, but it was honestly such a reprieve for all of the drama and headaches he (and i) were going through mentally. i can't praise cam enough individually and in respect to aislinn because she is a flawlessly flawed character in so many ways that she feels like a real person with a real struggle sometimes.
rickley last but not least, my little lovebug. i don't know if there are enough words for aislinn and wyatt. i never expected the two of them to hit it off the way they did. i've never had much success with organic lines prior to this - i was used to planning out the feelings and actions of my characters and then just setting them into motion. but wyatt and aislinn were like a whirlwind of fun. they progressed in real time like an actual friendship and they went through their fair share of issues that brought them together closer over the summer. i think on some of my lesser inspired days, their friendship got me through and pushed me to keep going forward with him. i've never had such natural friendship chemistry with another writer like this but it motivated me to be open to it, to seek it out without planning things to death. even as i write this in aislinn's last few hours as a member, i am content and happy with where things with him and wyatt have been. i wish they had gotten a little closer before this point bcause the trip sort of sullied things up, but they will never not be my favorite two people to interact with (and occasionally wish into imaginary gay relationships).
all in all, i love this community, the writers, and the characters. youareamazing.
