Anna Marie glanced at the man. He seemed rather strange to her. While she knew Remy probably had some seedy friends - she had some seedy acquaintances herself - this man seemed over-the-top. He seemed to be bursting to tell Remy something, but still holding back for some reason. Was it her presence? Or was he just hoping to extort money for the information?
She smiled across the table at Remy. "Oh, it's alright," she said softly, looking up through her eyelashes at him demurely. "Ah'm not goin' anywhere." As if to prove her point, she reached out and took a drink of her wine. "Do ya need me to slip out to the ladies' room for ya two to talk alone?"
She knew how it worked. Sometimes people couldn't talk in front of a third party. It happened naturally in her work. And the mention of the Summers' brothers she knew it wasn't something that could be easily ignored.
