A night out! What a concept.
Who: Aurora, tag Sunfire and Quicksilver
Where: Bar/club in Manhattan
When: Friday night, January 8, 2010
What: Blowing off some steam. And getting drinks.
Status: Incomplete
Rating:  PG-13

Aurora hadn't been out with people in awhile. Sure, she'd go out by herself, meet up with whomever she met up with (even if she didn't know who the hell they were), and have herself a grand old time. It was easy for her, being that person. Why she'd managed to stay stuffed down so long while boring, meticulous, irritatingly shut down Jeanne-Marie ran the show, Aurora had no idea. But she was out again, stretching her legs, and remembering exactly why it was so easy for her to lead.

It wasn't surprising to Aurora that when she went back to the X-Men, there was no overwhelming show of glad that she was back. Jeanne-Marie hadn't seemed to forge a relationship for crap, and Aurora was sort of glad to have a clean slate. There were those there that she already knew, but no one that Aurora wasn't fine to be around again. And there were many new faces to her. It was nice, it was like getting to start over with Alpha Flight again, but with a lot more people, and quite a few very powerful people.

New Years had come and gone, and apparently, leaving beer in the fridge was a one way street to no longer having beer in the fridge. Either way, Aurora wasn't too upset about it. Besides, she'd apparently struck up conversation enough to have company for the night. Aurora called a cab to meet her at the gate to the mansion earlier in the night. She didn't want the responsibility of a car. Besides, parking in Manhattan was a fiasco unto itself. She'd made plans with Shiro, and waited for him by the front door. When he finally showed up, Aurora smiled warmly. "Ready for a night out?"

Shiro had to be social. This is how one adapted into the Japanese underground with the Yakuza. If you didn't know how to flex your muscles both figuratively and when it comes to socializing. It got to the point that this lone wolf knew he had to make some connections. Night clubs and hostess clubs back in Tokyo were usually how he unwound. It had been a year since he could even party decently. The mansion was neat and all, but he got cabin fever quite easily.

When the opportunity to go Manhattan came up, he decided to take it up. Aurora seemed interesting. He dressed up in his usual pimping outfit; black pants, dark blue shirt, black blazer, with a black tie. He topped it off with a black fedora and wore a white scarf around his neck. There was a reason he was called gangster by Siryn. As he approached the cab, he gave Aurora a sideways smile, "I'm always read for a night out..." he said carefully. He spoke fluent English but it took thought.

Together, they rode to Manhattan and chose a regular bar that seemed hopping enough, "What do you like to drink... besides Stella?" He walked in, assuming Aurora would follow him and made a beeline to the bar itself.

Sitting alone at a stool tonight, Pietro quietly sipped at his Martini. The Silvered blur known as Pietro Maximoff had been taking a moment to relax, and had chosen a bar owned by a fellow brother, a Mutant. Tonight the Romanian had allowed himself a few drinks as well, and had indulged in a few fine cocktails. He preferred things here, over there, where humans clustered in their bar rooms. After all a little segregation never hurt anyone. Mutants should own and operate preferred bars for those of better standing in the genetic race. Leaning forward Quickie took another long sip and pondered on his state of affairs. He mainly was waiting to see if anything easy on the eyes would jump in, because so far his luck had drawn some Mutant woman with duck feather and a bill for a face, and a young lady who sweated super naturally. Which seemed something more up Toad's alley than anything else. Still a mutant was a mutant, right?

Pietro allowed himself one slight glance at the door as it opened, Blue-grey eyes peeling away for just an instant. Of course all of this was done before human eyes could match his barest movement. Super human speed was a nice mutation, you could look all you want and for all the world it seemed you hadn't looked at all. Hmm. Interesting. Head cantered back in thought, as he felt his pulse quicken a hair. More of Charles crowd was arriving. He had been wondering when he might see their elk again. He had studied the roster there for awhile and knew a little intel here and there. After that was the Brotherhood's secondary business. It would interesting to see where things led these two.

Aurora directed the cab driver to a bar that she'd heard was mutant-friendly, one that wouldn't get them into too much trouble if anyone decided to show off. She settled into the back seat and watched the city whirl by from the windows. When they arrived at the bar, Aurora followed Shiro inside, smirking at his question. "My tastes vary with the wind, but a Long Island iced tea sounds good." Hell, if she was going full boar, she at least had a cab ride home.

She pulled up a stool, sitting with her back to the bar to take in the room. When the bartender approached, she swiveled to place her order, then turned back, leaning her elbows against the lacquered wood, eyeing the room again, noting that a man down the bar seemed to be interested in their presence, but making it look less obvious. Which he achieved, for the general populous. Aurora, on the other hand, was not the general populous. "So, Shiro." She smiled at her companion, looking him over him quickly. "Tell me something interesting about yourself. I'm not sure we've ever spoken before today, have we?" Her memory was as unreliable as a Ford. "You have a sister at the mansion, right?"

Shiro smirked a little, "Long Island Iced Tea. I liked those when it is hot out." That was a good summer drink to him but he paused for a moment and finally also ordered a Long Island Iced Tea, "Let's see who gets drunk faster, yes?" He gave her a look with mischief sparkling in his dark eyes. When he got his drink, he took a sip and pondered it for a moment. Finally, he shrugged a little, "Not bad." With that, he took out a cigarette and lit it with a little bit of plasma from his thumb. "I never need a lighter..."

At Aurora's question, he looked thoughtful for a moment. Sure, there were lots of interesting things about him. He worked and lived with the yakuza for five years and they were probably still wondering what happened to him. His uncle was anti-mutant. And so was he for a while. But no, those were stories he would have to be much more drunk, "Ano... I lived in Switzerland and Belgium for the first seven years of my life. What about you?"

Pietro's eyes frowned for a moment. Was it his imagination or did someone just react to his movements? How bizarre. He quickly empties his martini then started on ordering another. From the corner of his eye he looked the two down. One of them- the one who had reacted his movements in speed, was certainly a looker. A predatory smile cropped in for a moment. The other? Well he looked uncomfortable, at least to bar hopper like Maximoff.

He leaned back form his stool, wondering if he should go in. That impatient buzz kicking in. He was curious, and that was dangerious.

Aurora turned and grabbed her drink, grasping the glass in one hand and the straw between her fingertips. She took a long sip, then smiled. "Of course. There's nothing bad about 4 different types of liquor and a splash of coke to knock you on your ass." She grinned, then set her drink on the bar. "And about getting drunk first... I might have a slight advantage on you, since I metabolize things ridiculously quickly. But if you really want to try it, you're picking up the tab." She watched him as he lit his cigarette with his thumb, shaking her head. "Now, that's a party trick." She glanced around, waiting for someone to come over and tell him to put it out. Instead, she noted the bartender slide an ashtray toward Shiro, then moved away from them, attending to others along the bar.

She watched Shiro as he spoke, listening to each word. "Oh, nice. I've always wanted to go to Switzerland. I hear they have good skiing." She smiled again, then her face turned thoughtful. There were interesting things about her, yes. But how many did she want to share? "Hmmm. Well, I'm sure you've heard I have a brother, though I'm not sure what he's up to at the moment." She frowned slightly, feeling the slight ache that being away from Jean-Paul always seemed to bring up in her. Her face cleared of it's frown, and she grinned at Shiro again. "I once punched a polar bear in the head. Is that interesting?" She laughed lightly, going over the memory of it in her head. Boredom and a love of seals had driven her to that one. "I didn't hurt it or anything. But it's not something a lot of people can say."

Shiro took another long gulp of his drink, "Yes, I can feel all of it go through my blood. That is what makes it so good. Have you ever tried a Grateful Dead? It's fruity tasting and really girly. You'd like it." He took another drag of his cigarette and another sip of his drink before chuckling a little, "Sounds like a game. Whoever gets drunk first, picks up the tab. But I have a pretty high... ano... tolerance." Oh this would be amusing. "You like my trick? It took lots of practice to get it concentrated enough so it wouldn't burn it up all the way."

"Switzerland has good skiing but I only went when I was really small." He held out his hand to about how tall he was when that happened. "I have a sister and I'm sure you've seen her about. She's louder than me. Brothers or sisters are sometimes irritating." He wasn't drunk enough to lament on how guilty he felt for leaving her. "You punched a polar bear? How did he react?" He looked incredibly amused at this. "Why did you punch a polar bear?"

She grinned, sipping her drink and nodding. "I don't believe I've tried that one, but I'll keep it in mind. Maybe that'll be the next round." She winked at him, then turned on her barstool, tucking her legs under the bar. She smirked at the fact that he had a high alcohol tolerance. "Good, that'll make it more interesting. This is going to be an expensive night, I think." She sipped on her drink again, letting her eyes scan down the bar. Again, she noticed the man watching the two of them, and she let her gaze linger for a moment. He seemed unable to sit still, quick fidgets happening that would've gone unnoticed to the normal, human eye. Aurora lifted a brow, then turned back to Shiro, giving him her full attention. "I can imagine. It's probably something like when I try to specifically focus light somewhere. It's a hell of a lot harder than it sounds to be a mutant flashlight."

Nodding as he said he'd only been in Switzerland when he was younger, Aurora listened to him as he continued about his sister. "Ah, yes. Well, Jean-Paul is quite irritating at times. He can be incredibly overprotective. He's always assuming I need a knight in shining armor to defend my honor, but sometimes, my honor is well beyond defending." She grinned, letting her chin rest into her upturned palm as her elbow rested on the table. Her fingers grasped her straw, and she spun the ice in her glass slowly. "The polar bear was more surprised than I was when I punched him. He yelped, ran away, then stalked the cabin I was camped out in for about a week. It kind of hurt getting supplies in. And I punched him because he'd been playing with a half-dead seal for about an hour instead of just eating the damned thing, and I got tired of listening to the poor thing crying." The sad part of the story was that she ended up having to put the seal out of it's misery. But the polar bear still ate well. "Not a lot happens in Alaska when you're stuck there, trying to find someone who doesn't want to be found."

Shiro nodded as he took a long drag of his cigarette. Oh how much he loved alcohol and tobacco. He was so busy relaxing, he didn't notice the fidgity fellow int he corner. If he was about to attack someone, he would notice it since he had been in many a bar fight. "What are your abilities?" he asked as he took a gulp of his drink. "I just can produce plasma and see things in heat signature. It's very cool." He didn't like it at first, though. It took close to a year for him to accept what he was. It was all those years he spent with his mutant hating uncle.

As she spoke about Jean-Paul being protective of her, Shiro suddenly looked very sheepish. He couldn't deny he wasn't protective of his sister. In fact, just a few days ago, he had an argument with her over this. Slowly, he turned towards Aurora, and gave her a grin, "Ano... brothers have to do that for their sisters. It is in the job description, yes?" He flicked his cigarette into the ashtray. "Brothers know what guys think and they do not want another guy thinking that way about their sister." He sounded slightly defensive over that comment. "Poor, polar bear and seal. Nature is... cruel sometimes, yes?" He tilted his head to the side, "Who were you looking for?" He felt that if he continued to ask her questions, she wouldn't ask about him so much.

"My abilities?" Aurora lifted a brow. "I have a few." She lifted her hand off her drink, counting off her fingers. "I can fly, I've got superspeed, I can create light in different forms including concussive blasts, I have a high metabolic rate, fast reflexes, and... I think that's it." She laughed, shaking her head. "I've lost track. Most of what I can do isn't something I focus on, it's just there. But the main ones are flight, the light show, and I'm a speedster." She tilted her head to the side slightly, a curious look on her face. "You can see in infrared? That's pretty cool. Do you turn it on and off, or is it an all the time thing?"

She couldn't help the smile that crossed her face as Shiro spoke about the role of a brother. "Of course it's in the job description. I understand that it's innate. I'm incredibly protective of JP too, but it's gets to be a pain in the ass sometimes." She grinned, a devious look on her face. "And women know full well what guys think about too. Don't let us fool you. We're not stupid." She nodded knowingly, then turned back to her drink, finishing off what was left in the glass and sliding it forward for the bartender to bring her another. "Cruel is a nice way to put it." She nodded slowly, then looked at him, shrugging. "No idea anymore. I was sent to look for a lot of people." She didn't really feel like delving into that part of her past, since it was during her time with Weapon X.

"So, your sister. You said she's louder than you. What else can you tell me about her?" Aurora felt the alcohol beginning to drift through her system, not enough to affect her movement or speech in the slightest, but enough to allow her to unwind a little bit. The bartender brought her another, and she reached out for it, her movement uncontrolled and a lot faster than it should've been for trying to maintain a normal facade. Aurora forced her arm to a stop, then pulled the drink to her slowly, smiling at Shiro.

It was important to steel himself and not just flounder over like some drunken lout. He had to remain reserved. Maintain composure. After finishing another glass, Pietro paused, than ordered another drink. He lingered, glancing at the mutant bartender with the purple eyes. Hovering a moment, he reaching slowly into his wallet and paid for another. They were still talking. After paying, he'd curl one finger on the tip of his chin and scratch there for a second. God, he was being nice and letting the Asian boy talk to this curious little thing in the corner- just how long were they going to gab?!

Alright, there was a pause. Go time. Standing up, he intentionally walked over in what, he called Wanda speed. It had been called Wanda speed since he was a boy. When his sister couldn't keep up with Pietro speed. IT was hard to stay in Wanda speed for long. For a man with a mutation like Pietro's it was like holding your breath under water. He needed to come up for air eventually, move back to the speed of mind and body god had blessed his evolution with. Walking over slowly, like a slow dumb Neanderthal, Pietro resigned his face to cool calmness. At best it was expressionless. He liked that look. But allowed a small smile for the lady when he arrived at the spot the two had picked out. "Well, Hello. Don't see the Mansion crowd out here very often." He greeted them, about as warmly as Pietro could greet a technical enemy.

"No, I can turn it off and on. It's useful to find people in the dark, I found," Shiro shrugged a little as he drained the last of his drink and ordered yet another. He could feel a small buzz coming on and it showed a little in his cheeks but he was so not drunk yet. Long Island Iced Teas just had a lot of alcohol in them. "That's interesting. I can fly too but it involves me manipulating the plasma around me so that just makes my ability producing and manipulating plasma."

He chuckled a little as he took another drag of his cigarette, "It is supposed to. What are big brothers for, yes? She just gets angry because I'm right." True, the mutant known as Sunfire was a little bit arrogant but it was once again tied to his time with the yakuza. You had to be confident if you wanted to survive. "Leyu... ara, she likes to cook and likes to not be told what to do. I do feel... a bit guilty because I sort of left her for five years. I still think of her as a 12 year old sometimes."

Then, he was approached by Pietro so he couldn't continue anymore. His eyes immediately narrowed. He didn't like when people, especially guys walked up to him when he was in the middle of a conversation with a girl, not that he was trying to pick Aurora up but he wasn't against the idea. Ever since his girlfriend in High School, Shiro preferred to not get into any serious relationships... one stands please. Even if that was the case, he still sometimes had his big brotherliness would leak over into relationships with females. If there was a fellow, he did not trust... there would be a problem. Shiro wasn't familiar with everyone in the brotherhood, but with a line like that, he had a feeling.

"Well, it is... a free country..." he said really mimicking one of the movies he watched. His eyes were cold as he looked at Pietro. Taking a long drag of his cigarette and exhaled roughly in Pietro's direction. "What brings you to talk to us?" His eyes looked suspicious.

Aurora listened as he spoke about his sister, nodding in the right places, frowning in others. She pursed her lips, shaking her head slightly. "Probably hard not to think of her as a 12 year old, but I'm sure she'd appreciate it if you tried." She smiled softly. "I know I would, if it were me." Aurora watched Shiro's face, noting the change in his expression. Her eyes followed his, and she saw that Mr Twitchy had made his way over to them.

Grabbing her drink, Aurora turned on her stool, sipping on the straw while her eyes appraised him. The nearly silver hair drew her attention for a moment. And was that a smile? Aurora returned the smile with a slight head nod and a smirk. "Mansion crowd, hm?" She set her drink on the bar, letting her hands rest in her lap. She could feel the defensiveness radiating from Shiro, and she couldn't help the smile that tugged at her lips. There was a smugness to both of the men she was now speaking with, one that Aurora couldn't ignore. "Well, us mansion crowd, we don't get out much," she lowered her voice, a knowing look on her face. "And who might you be?" She raised a brow, extending a hand to the silver-haired one. "I'm Aurora, and this," she indicated her companion, "is Shiro."

Blue-grey eyes shifted away from the beauty to the beast for a moment. Pietro's face shifted away into a more hardened emotion. "Is it?" He asked simply of Shiro. "Perhaps for some." He continued, placing further emphasis on some. That was the problem with a lot of Xavier's brood. They couldn't see the bondage in front of their very eyes. Like children they dilly dally ed in a fantasy. Well, Pietro had come from no fantasy land of riches like America. Wanda and Pietro had traveled all their lives in a harsh world of bigotry and bitterness that made the United States issues of slavery seem like a joke. Numerous times in Romania Pietro had looked death in the face. Had thought his life, and more importantly, Wanda's life- was over. He would never let the humans sink back into that. Never. His face softened somewhat as he jerked his mental thoughts back to the present. This was all done out of Wanda Speed, so hopefully the two hadn't noticed any mental delay at all. He thought for a moment in Pietro speed of how to reply to Shiro second comment. It was obvious the Asian boy was not welcoming. How appropriate considering the boy's skin color. "Friendly curiosity?" He explained. As if that in itself was more than enough.

Head turned away from the bitter Shiro back towards the lovely lady. "Aurora, was it? How fitting." He bemused. "I'm Pietro. But you can call me.." He purposefully let his words slow to a momentary pause for effect. "Quicksilver." That same smile returned. "That's too bad." He explained. "I wish we could see more of each other." He rashly pushed forward. "Maybe then there wouldn't be so much fighting. If your crowd wasn't bottled up." He allowed a quick gaze at Shiro at that, while still smiling. "Mind if I join you two? What are drinking?" He quickly offered after taking another sip of his Martini. Hopefully the hothead (Ironic Pietro calling someone else a hothead.) wouldn't refuse a free drink.

"I know, I know... I still feel I have to protect her," Shiro commented as he flicked his wrist a few times as it looked like he was swatting a fly. Then his attention was drawn on "twitchy". He just did not trust this guy. And when he made it more clear he was no mansion mutant, that just made him that more suspicious. He continued to stare Quicksilver down as he took a huge swig of his drink. At Pietro's response, Shiro jerked his chin up, "That may be true, depending on your..ara... perspective." He didn't really trust a lot of humans. After all, it was human gangs that passed him around like cattle. 'I'll trade you my mutant for 1 billion yen' that sort of thing.

"Whatever your questions are, the answer is no..." Shiro replied in a cold tone. His cigarette at that moment was out so he put it out and took another. He lit it, like he did before, with his little parlor trick as Aurora liked to call it. He did it this time, partly because he wanted to make a subtle statement. I can produce plasma, so don't mess with me.

When Aurora offered his name, he suddenly got rather defensive, "You can't call me Shiro. It's either Yoshida or Sunfire." He knew in America, using first names was common but at home, people only used your first name if they were familiar with you. Giving Pietro permission to call him Shiro was an intimate gesture and he didn't particularly like this individual. "Long Island Iced Tea," he answered as he took another sip of his drink. He could feel it slowly coming on him. As Pietro asked to join them, Shiro looked at Aurora before returning a small glare to Quicksilver. "It's up to Aurora..."

Aurora observed the interaction between Shiro and Pietro, an amused smile on her face. It seemed like there was an instant dislike between the two, and it was nearly palpable. She lifted a brow and sipped her drink, trying to stifle laughter as Shiro showed off a little bit. As Shiro got offended by Aurora offering his first name, she turned her head to him, her eyes slightly widened. "I'm sorry if I overstepped my bounds. I'll be sure to let you introduce yourself in the future, then." Her tone was slightly snide, but not overtly so.

Aurora nodded as Pietro confirmed her name, then smiled at the compliment. "Thank you. Quicksilver. Hm. I think I like Pietro better." She gave him a smirk, shaking her head at his assumption. "Bottled up is definitely not the word I'd use to describe myself. But of course, you haven't met me." She grinned knowingly, then she considered his question as to whether or not he could join them. The more, the merrier was always Aurora's thought when it came to time in a bar. She only hoped that he and Shiro would stop the pissing match. Her eyes flitted over the bar quickly, spotting a table in the back that had vacated of patrons. Her gaze returned to Shiro and Pietro, and she smiled broadly. "You're welcome to join us." She picked her drink up from the bar, stood from her stool, and moved toward the table, glancing behind her only momentarily, her eyes meeting with Pietro's. "I'm drinking Long Island's, too, in case you were wondering." She laughed, then took up a seat at the empty table, making herself comfortable and waiting for the boys to join her.

That smile Quickie had lingered as Aurora responded regarded the bottled up comment. IT was mainly spoken at Shiro, but.."Oh but I'd love to try and do just that." Answered Pietro rather frankly. He could tell right off the bat, that he liked this woman. He eyed Shiro's comment about Aurora giving away his first name with a mixture of faint surprise and mild disdain. OH those slant eyes and their ways. Getting angry over a name? How barbaric and childish. There was a reason the Chinese had such a disruption of power (Note: Pietro is assuming Shiro is Chinese xD) . "I think you are mistaken, Sunfire was it? My curiosity was for the lady." He finished with a smile. It was a minor insult, implying the boy was nothing in his eyes. "But why we are on the subject, I'd love to here how your liking America. I'm some what new here myself. Thanks. Two Long Islands it is." He rubbed his pure silver locks for but a moment, as he shifted off.

Yes it was true, Pietro disliked this youth. Well, it wasn't so much that he disliked him- he was simply annoyed with him. Sunfire reminded Pietro a lot of himself when he was younger. OR rather Pyro until recently. Bitter, sarcastic, and cynical. Mistrusting even the kindest gesture and full of piss and vinegar for humans. IT would change in time. In the mean time, he treated the younger man like one might treat the rebellious teen child of a friend who spoke out of turn. Condescending, yes, but unfounded, no.

He ordered their drinks and another martini for himself, then moved back to their table all in Wanda speed. Although it bugged him to move so slow, he really didn't want to intimidate anyone just yet. And a bravado of showmanship would probably further upset the imbecilic china boy. Before taking a seat he laid their drinks out, "Two long Islands." With a friendly nod, he leaned back into a chair. However, that predatory half smile strayed longer. "So- How's life now that we have a cure, again." He begin. Putting annoyed emphasis on the word again.

Shiro shook his head at Aurora, "No, don't worry about it. In Japan, the first name is something you do not... ano... give to anyone." His eyes flickered back at the arrogant Quicksilver. Of course, he was one to talk. He narrowed his eyes at Pietro's comment on wanting to get to know Aurora more. What was this guy up to? Would he try and recruit them or something. He drank some of his drink and at his comment, he slammed it down at the table, "You will have to forgive me and my distrust of you. Not many men have the courage to walk up to a woman when she's with another man." His tone was heavy with sarcasm and double meaning. Alcohol already was surging through his veins. And the fact that he drank two Long Islands pretty fast, he was heading towards buzzed which would no doubt make him extra belligerent.

As they made their way back to the table, he took a seat. He didn't know what to make of the round of drinks Pietro lay before them, "You probably poisoned them..." he remarked as he took a long drag of his cigarette. At Pietro's question, he rolled his eyes, "At least we can leave freely now. And there are things to do."

Aurora smirked at Pietro, lifting a brow. "I'm sure you would." Her smirk turned slightly devious as she took a sip from her drink. She watched the banter between Shiro and Pietro, finding it far more entertaining than she probably should've. She nodded lightly as Shiro explained the first name thing, but she didn't say anything further. If he didn't want Pietro calling him Shiro, that was his thing. That didn't mean she wasn't going to use his first name. Hell, she'd already been doing it all night.

Her eyes glanced around the room as Pietro and Shiro joined her at the table she'd chosen. It seemed that about 2/3rds of the population of the bar was obviously mutant, and perhaps the other third might be inconspicuously mutant. Whatever the case, Aurora felt comfortable here. She finished her second drink and took the third from Pietro, smiling warmly at him. "Thank you," she replied, then she scowled at Shiro. "Poisoned? Really?" She took a long sip, pausing for a moment before she swallowed, then lifted a brow. "Not poisoned. Now will you knock it off?"

She heard Pietro's question as she eyed Shiro, and she turned to answer it. "I'm happy about it. It's good to finally see the world start to get back to normal. The population is down a lot, for both sides," she leaned her elbows onto the table, folding her arms and sitting forward in her chair, "but at least there seems to be some semblance of peace. I guess." Aurora shrugged, playing with the straw in her drink idly.

Head turned to Shiro, and his pathetic Asian attempt at banter. "Well Then I guess that explains it. You just haven't met many men. Have you Sunny Spot? Or do you prefer Spot?" replied Quicksilver with a facade of helpfulness. He singed the boy with an air of inexperience and incompetence. Driven home by the condescending tone he applied to the boy's ridiculous idea of using his code name over his own name in a relaxed setting. He shifting his head back to Jeane and winked, but did so while in superhuman speed. This was done so that it would seem like he hadn't moved at all to Spot. This had two purposes, driving the beautiful woman further away from the angry Asian with light hearted fun, and seeing just how fast this new mutant's senses were. He had moved at around six hundred and seventy eight miles per hour. It was a good test.

"I can see that." He offered to Sunspot on the state of the world, he wasn't completely against the boy after all. He could develop some good ideas for himself, if he would just drop the Cyclops act and let loose. "Come on now, Spot." added in Pietro in a slightly disappointed tone just behind Aurora's voiced disapproval so that it would seem like they were in unison.

He gave a slight nod to Aurora over her own views about the cure. "Let's hope the humans, let it last." He applied forewarningly. "Politics have a way of ignoring peace. No matter how good it sounds." He allowed a pause so that the two could inject into the conversation. It was rude to do all the talking, no matter how slow their mouths moved to him.

Shiro watched intently as Aurora drank her drink, ready to leap on her and try and save her if anything happened. It was a natural reaction. Living in the underground made him understandably paranoid. He also didn't care if Aurora called him Shiro. He was on friendly terms with her. Quicksilver on the other hand. He visibly sulked as she scolded him like a child who got his favorite toy taken away. He hesitated for a moment before he took a sip himself. It hadn't been his gulps that he had been taking. He was already beginning to feel the buzz.

He glared at Pietro before stating, "Oh, I know many men. But I suppose men in my country have some bit of manners." Of course, Shiro shouldn't speak. He was well known in the gangs of Tokyo that he had a bad attitude and was rarely polite, especially to males. Females was the exception. However, there were some girls that irritated him to which he would be rude to. "It's Sunfire..." he said pointedly before rolling his eyes, "Just call me Yoshida." There wasn't much that could be messed with in that name.

Curling his lip slightly, he took a drag of his cigarette. Why did he have to agree with Quicksilver on that point? Blowing the smoke out of his mouth, Shiro growled slightly, "I doubt it will. Humans always react erratically when it comes to something they do not understand." Oh that was his life over five years ago... hating on mutants because they were different.

Aurora couldn't help the eyeroll that came as Pietro began poking fun at Shiro's codename. The boys seemed insistent on keeping up the snarkfest at each other. She was swiftly becoming bored with it. "Boys, please. No need for name calling or anything of that ilk. Just play nice." She glanced at both of them, her eyes catching a less than split second wink from Pietro. She tilted her head and lifted a brow at him, a smug look on her face. Aurora stared at him for a moment, then shook her head and chuckled under her breath. So, it seemed Mr. Twitchy wasn't just twitching.

Her gaze turned to Shiro as he commented on the mutant/human relations conversation they'd struck up. "Mutants react just as erratically as humans, I think. It's just more fear on their end than anything else. We're something they can't understand. Up until our mutations present themselves, we're as human as they are. They react out of fear. We react out of something resembling condescension. Neither side is perfect. We just have to find a common ground." Aurora smiled hopefully. "Maybe this whole thing, showing mutants just as susceptible to something that was eradicating humans... Maybe it'll lead to something like understanding." She shrugged, putting back about half of her drink. "It probably won't, but who knows? Maybe I'm just optimistic."

A curvy smile took Pietro lips, as he noticed her reaction. So she could sense some of his movements. He'd have to look into that later. Find out just what her power was, exactly. He glanced back at Shiro and shrugged. The kid was taking it too far. It was one thing to be playfully insulting, but another to dig. And he was certainly digging. But it seemed to bother Aurora more than anything else, so he helpfully help his hands and shrunk back his shoulders, he was finished. "Fair enough." He lamented to her as he leaned further back in his chair and took another swig. His eyes watching both of them to gage their reactions.

"I think what I fear is the political machine. I could see us getting used as a scape goat for problems. Back home in Romania this was done all the time with gypsies. I think it's not to far fetched to turn on fox news and see some poor mutant's face on Bill O'Reily." He watch Aurora now. Head nodding afterwards to drive home his point. "But enough on the serious, I guess. Nothing we can do about it in the present."

Shiro curled his lip for a moment before taking more of a sip of his Long Island Iced Tea. He huffed, "Haaaai..." he sang out before sucking in a long drag and leaned back to puff out smoke circles. It hadn't even occurred to him he had spoken out in Japanese. He blinked a little as he attempted to translate in his head what Aurora was saying. Two and a half Long Island Iced Teas, he was going down the path to fully buzzed, "Maybe some... mutants are erratic but I have yet to see many. Humans... screw me over. When I was human, I hated mutants so I know this..."

As Pietro spoke, Shiro looked at him dully. Why was he agreeing a little with the so called enemy? "Scapegoats? What is this word?" He sighed for a moment, "Humans... bah. The only decent one is Tousan. But my uncle? He held protests and things against mutants. Cheee...." The last sound was more of a clicking sound. "With... the gangs... they treated mutant like cattle." He turned his interest to his drink.
