"How would I have known? I was..what, twenty? I barely knew anything about dating someone let alone marrying them," Orsino shrugged, giving Donaghan a wry grin. "Although I'm pretty sure they can withhold things regardless of whether you're married or now."
At Donaghan's question about food, Orsino had to pause and think. Actually, he knew full well that he had little more than some takeaway leftovers from a few nights before, dog food, and possibly half a loaf of bread and some deli meat. Though he didn't have any issues with cooking, Orsino hated food shopping and had reserved Thursdays as Food Shopping Day. Thus, his reserves were dreadfully low.
