Lennox had needed something to do with himself other than just wait for Rhydian to come over, so he'd made dinner anyway - bourbon chicken with a potato mash, not anything too difficult or fancy, but he thought Rhydian might like the bourbon and he'd been hungry, anyway.
By the time the bell rang, he'd mostly put his sour mood behind him - he didn't stop to question how much Rhydian wanting to come over had to do with that. He wasn't sure why the trick this morning had fed the mood he'd been in since the loss to Wimbourne, but it had. If it hadn't been for the 'true love' bit at the end, it might not have, but he really didn't want to start thinking about it again.
Instead he finished setting the plates out - dinner in the family style plates between their sides of the table - and pushed his hair back as he walked to answer the door.
