"Hullo," Ron returned cautiously, setting his things out on the table and helping himself to some of the files that were lying about. He didn't know Montague well, and still relied mostly on his impressions from their days together at school in forming his opinion of him, but he had enough interest in doing his own job well that he was willing to give the benefit of the doubt where any doubt existed. Maybe he wasn't some Slytherin prat; and even if he was, he was on the right side, and he might be good at what he did. It was worth waiting and seeing.
He nudged the largest file open, snorting quietly as he paged through its contents. "This is what comes from offering a reward, I guess. Oh look, someone's spotted her in Jamaica. That doesn't sound half bad." He let it fall closed again and looked up, resting his hand on the back of his chair. "Is there anything we do know? Aside form what was in the Prophet, I mean. I haven't been over to the scene yet." Which probably meant he was a little behind. it wasn't a feeling he liked, but since he was now responsible for more than sorting memos, it was probably one he was going to have to get used to for a while.
