Braxton R. Derrick has a problem with authority. (accessdenied) wrote in wished,
Even if Niki was off he didn't have it in him to shun his cousin. He'd tried at first, a long while back, to spend less time around him and disregard him, but Niki was still the boy that he'd always seen as his brother. Underneath all of the changes, he was still Nikolai.
Braxton didn't really give much thought to the fact that Niki had taken food without asking, and that he hadn't just gone to the store. Braxton would share with him what he had to a certain extent. He certainly wasn't going to get upset over a sandwich. Almost anyone else he would persecute, but not his cousin.
He was a bit pleased when the 'we' disappeared to an 'I'. That was at least one thing good about this visit, "It's perfectly well. You'll have to stop in again some time," he gave a bit of a curt thanks to Quirk when a sandwich was presented in front of him. It was made with precision and careful hands.
