Niki was wandering. In a rather aimless manner that was not uncommon to him. He liked Knockturn Alley because it was cloaked in shadows, and full of creepy, crawly things and dark and weird things. He liked dark and he liked weird.
He had fingers pressed to the dirty window of a shop as he peered through with squinty eyes, into the interior, cluttered with things. Tracing over shapes that were a little bit hard to make out and imagining what they might be.
When he turned away, he stopped and a skewed little grin painted his lips because he saw the little mouse. "I see him," he whispered to the nothingness and then scuttled across the dirty alley until he was standing right in front of him.
"Hello, Mouse. Will you squeak?" he asked. It was only then that he seemed to realize that Theodore was not along. His eyes travelled upwards to the taller individual. "I didn't know. You knew. A giant."
