Michael was still mad at Pansy and the thing she'd brought home. He was determined that this time he wouldn't be the one to apologise. There weren't many things Mike was really bothered by (despite whatever whinging he might do), but cats ranked up there with the Unforgiveables to him. He couldn't stand the things.
Maybe it was petty that he was avoiding being home as much as he could, but he was doing it anyway. Today he was walking around Diagon Alley. The only problem was that it was depressing. It seemed like everywhere he went he saw something he thought Pansy would like. He was beginning to think that maybe Anthony and Su were right and he was quite whipped. He would never say that though. He couldn't give them the satisfaction of being right.
Soon enough he was in Memorial Alley and he slowed down, looking around. He'd never really bothered coming here yet. He wasn't here for the opening and he didn't see a great reason to come now. He was there at the final battle and he didn't like being reminded of it. The place was reminding him of Terry and the fact that he wasn't around any more.
He was in Sugarush Confectionary now though and he didn't really remember ducking in to the store. He looked around before nodding and deciding that he could get something here. Sugar was always good. Plus he was getting himself an interesting little work out while trying to dodge all the kids running around squealing like the hyped up little crazies they are. He wasn't really paying attention to anyone else in the store and so when he heard his last name that stopped him short. The blonde head that he saw when he looked for whoever it was definitely wasn't what he would say was a welcome sight.
"Smith. I would say nice to see you, but lying just isn't something I'm on today." He'd picked up more snark from his wife.
