The Master was walking along (in gloves and a particularly buttoned up jacket) and caught the Doctor's presence nearby. He turned, eyes flashing with prickly frustration, and started, "I said." Then he paused, re-assessed, and shook his head. "Not to you."

"Confused, but never mind that." He took a deep breath and backed off. He could do that. Really. "Look, I'm sorry," he said, in a conciliatory tone, "if you really want to be by yourself, I'll go away. I'm just worried. And yeah, about you, not about what you might do to other people, if you haven't figured that out." Well, mostly. He really did still have a bit of a knee-jerk reaction to the Master being pissed off. He'd get over it, some year.
