Caitlin leaned against the wall, and waited for Fred to get Chase's shoe back on. After Sam had told them what certain members of the science department had been doing to Max, Fred and her had decided to have a department wide meeting. By the end of the meeting, the offenders had stepped forward, and promised not to do it again. It made the both of them feel better, and now they were taking the kids down to the jumper bay, where they were meeting the rest of the senior staff for their picnic.
"Where Charlie going?" Erin suddenly asked.
Caitlin turned her head, and sighed when she saw Charlie was toddling down the hall. The little girl had learned to walk the week before, and had taken to wandering off and getting into everything. "Charlie," she said, hurrying forward to grab her.
"Go bye, mama!" Charlie said as she looked at her with her big, blue eyes.
Snorting, Caitlin shook her head. "That look doesn't work on me," she said as she picked Charlie up. "And we're going soon."
"Okay. No more taking off your shoe, little man," Fred said as she stood.
Soon all of them were walking into the transporter, and going down to the underwater jumper bay. They stepped off and were about to walk down the hallway when the transporter door opened again and Max stepped out.
"I'm still getting used to how fast those things go," she said before she gave Caitlin and Fred a smile. "I found the bag of control crystals. Thanks you two."
"No problem," Fred said as they started toward the bay. "I think we nipped the problem in the bud, but if it happens again, tell us."
All of them stepped into the bay, and Caitlin put Charlie down so she could go over to Rodney. The moment Chase saw Daniel standing there with CJ, he bounced and hurried over to them.
"I hear you two made someone cry today," Daniel said as he kneeled down so Chase could hold CJ's hand.
"Nothing new," Fred said with a smirk. "Rodney cries almost everyday."
"Hey," Rodney huffed before making a face at Fred.
"You do cry a lot, Uncle Rodney," Alex pointed out before she adjusted her backpack and looked up at him. "You should let me put makeup on you!"
