Annie made a face, she really did not want to talk about things. But she supposed she needed to be a grown up about all of it and let it out instead of bottling it all up inside. Especially considering what had happened.
"There was no reason." She said that confidently. "I think we just happened to cross paths when he wished to do harm to somebody."
Looking back on it, it felt like it was all a stupid mistake. He hadn't even taken her money, or tried to do anything else. He'd just threatened and shot. And had, hopefully, been run over by a car or two in the process. And maybe he'd shit his pants out of fear. Annie didn't know if she was that lucky, though.
"I saw. And I'll never forget his face, as long as I'm alive."
