He let out his breath. "Could you send your best friend off to live someplace with these sorts of things on the streets? Vampires, murderers, werewolves, freakish storms? She's looking for a job so she can get a place. I can't kick her out. Not if you and I are... like this. But if you're telling me that nothing will change while she's still here..."
