Catching Up
Who: Blake and Chris
Where: Avarice II
When: Saturday, April 2nd
Since Gwen was out patrolling and it was the weekend, Blake decided to cut loose a little by going to Avarice II, dressed in tight jeans and a surprisingly feminine pink t-shirt, her hair (now a reddish-brown) tied back with her bangs in front of her face, with stunning red lipstick and a little pink blush to her cheeks. What? She couldn't look pretty sometimes?
"Well hot DAMN..." Chris purred from behind her, having just walked into the club. He was in black leather pants and boots, with a grayish-blue long-sleeved shirt and dark blue scarf, probably the most dressed up he'd been in YEARS. Maybe Bella was rubbing off on him? "You clean up well, babe..."
"When I want to, sure," Blake replied. Turning around, she catapulted into his arms to give him a hug. "Haven't seen you in a while, dude."
"Yeah, been busy actually working on trying to put things together for an actual ALBUM, thanks to your kick-ass fam..." He grinned, hugging her tightly. "How've you been? Loud and obnoxious, I'm hoping?"
"Is a priest a child molester?" She replied without really thinking about it. Ah. Lovely. You could just TELL that she was related to Rachelle, couldn't you? "Of COURSE, dude. How's this album coming?"
"Good, good. Mostly the songs are written already, we're just tinkering with them making them perfect." He smirked as he gave her a logn once-over. "You have got to be driving that girl of yours CRAZY looking like that."
Blake chuckled. "Well, she hasn't seen this outfit, yet. ... That, and it would only REALLY drive her crazy if I wasn't giving it up." Which was a valid point.
"So I hear you got your own comics store now? I can't help but think that you in any position of authority has hilarity written ALL over it, kid. You know that, right?" He smirked, crossing his arms over that muscular chest. "And don't even TELL me I don't have a point."
"Maybe. Believe it or not, GWEN is the more immature one where it comes to the customers. Go figure." God... she'd given Gwen permission to hire Patience, as well. The store was DOOMED. "Still, we're raking in the dough, so obviously we're doing something right. I guess having massive boobs helps."
"Well, admittedly, even if I was a huge comics guy, I doubt I'd be able to think about them with chicks lookin' like you working there. As it is though, my dork-card is mostly punched due to a love of old-school video games." He laughed a little, sweetly still having an arm draped over her shoulders. "Give me my 8-bit Nintendo and I'm GOLDEN."
"God, I have a hard on for the old Mario games," Blake said. Nevermind the fact that she didn't have a DICK. Anyway... "That's cool, though. You have sufficient nerd cred to hang around with me."
"Max will vouch for me, too. She's browsed my entire collection and knows I got games you;ve only HEARD about, girl." He bragged, as if talking about some antique car collection or something. "I mean, do YOU own Zero Wing or the original Punch-Out that still had Mike Tyson in it? Doubt it."
"No. I was too busy getting LAID then collecting video games. Nerd." Yeah, like YOU can talk, Blake.
"Dude! Do I *look* like I ever had trouble getting laid? Seriously?" Hey... he wasn;'t cocky, but he KNEW he was a good looking guy. "And if you say say yes, you KNOW you're lying."
"I dunno. You've kinda got a cro-mag look going for you..." She replied quickly, although she couldn't help it but laugh as soon as she said it. "Okay, point taken."
"Damn right." He laughed, just finding her little smirk about the most adorable thing ever. "You girls planning on getting married soon? Or is this gonna be a long-term engagement? Just wondering because I *know* I'm gonna be in the thing, being one of your closest buds out here and all..." He winked at her, smirking.
She led him over to one of the tables so they could sit down and talk properly, instead of being jostled by people all of the time. "We're definitely getting married after I graduate," she told him. "I know that Gwen should do her bachelorette party slash big blow out sooner rather than later, though. I don't want her hungover on the wedding day." She laughed.
"Jesus. From what you've told me about her, I can only imagine how much alcohol we're talking for a bachelorette party. I should give you one.. unless you have someone already doing so. I don't wanna step on anyone's toes..." Aww. See, Chris not only adored Blake, but he was actually a sweet guy.
"Nah. It's cool. Thanks, though," she waved off the offer. "I know my moms are probably gonna disown me, but I honestly don't WANT a bachelorette party. I'll probably just crash at a friends place while Gwen's doing her thing. " Sweetly, she couldn't stand to sleep in a bed alone anymore. Even if it just meant actual SLEEPING.
"Her thing" he laughed, rolling his eyes. "Getting ripped and watching strippers is kinda EVERYONE'S thing when it comes to pre-wedding parties, babe." He said, before adding, "I know you said you have a sister and everything, but if you want, whenever that happens, you can hang with me and Bella for the night, then crash at my place..."
"You're naive if you think that's all she's gonna do," Blake replied. Hell, she'd given Gwen carte blanche to do whatever it was she wanted, after all. "And that's sweet of you to offer, but I PROMISE you that I'm well taken care of."
"Wait... you mean..." He raised an eyebrow. "You're gonna let her like... make out with some random chicks or something? And be ok with it?"
Blake had to laugh then. "Are you... honestly surprised by that? You DO know me, right? She's my girl and it's ONE weekend. I'm okay with that."
"Why would she WANT other girls though?" Aw... he meant that sweetly, actually. "Blake, you're like... sexy as HELL. Seriously."
"Oh come ON. You're telling me that you haven't looked at other girls?" Blake snickered. "Besides, I don't think it's girls she's after, IF you catch my drift."
"Oh. Oh dear." He blushed then, as, face it. His mind? Went to lots of awesome places there. "Damn, girl... if I were single? I'd so offer to help you out in so many ways..."
Okay, his reaction? Kinda funny. She'd have to log that away for later so she could tease him IMMENSELY. "Well, aren't you just as sweet as punch?"
"Har har. Like you expected to tell me that and have me say something polite? PLEASE." He rolled his eyes, trying to keep a straight face. "Seriously though, I guess I can understand that though. I mean, if she likes both, give her one last hurrah before being yours forever..."
"Yeah, exactly," Blake replied. Sure, she liked guys, but clearly not as much, hm? "Honestly, in thinking about it, there's only ONE person that I would consider doing that before we got married and I KNOW she's not gonna go for it, so I'm not even gonna go there. Anyway. We've talked about me enough, haven't we?"
"No fucking way!" He laughed, shaking his head. "I gotta know who the girl is. Seriously."
Blake laughed and pretended to zip her lip. "Sorry, dude. I'll never tell," she lilted.
"Wait till you meet my roommate. Good LORD." He said, whistling under his breath. "Used to date her a while back... but she's a little TOO wild. Even for ME."
"Honey, you're as tame as they get," she replied, reaching across the table to pet his hand with a cheeky little grin. "But yeah. I'll definitely have to meet her. I could stand to make more friends."
"Hell of a drummer, too. Not to mention that when I brought Bella home..." He sighed, facepalming a bit. "She answered the door pretty much butt-naked."
"Wow. No personal bounderies. I think I like this chick already," Blake grinned, laughing.
"Told you. You and Lacey would hit it off like gangbusters." He actually gave a sigh then, before saying something almost comically honest. "I'd ask if you wanted to dance with me... but we're just friends, and you're ridiculously hot, and, well... let's just say I fear that if we danced together? It would suddenly be REALLY hard for me to walk comfortably."
"Well, I'll just save you the trouble then," she replied with a wink. Honestly, hanging out with Chris always WAS a confidence boost. What can I say. Girl needs to get out more.
"Seriously. Bad enough Bella wore this... riDONKulous pair of barely-there black leather shorts just before she went out earlier. Had THAT in my head all night now..." He snorted, realizing that honestly? He could pretty much line his HOUSE with all the gorgeous bitches he knew now.
"God, I don't think that I could bring it upon myself to leave the BEDROOM if Gwen did that to me," Blake snickered. "You're a hell of a lot stronger than I am."
"Oh, if I had my say? I'd STILL be there and we'd be going at it. But... sadly she had things to do. Other than me." He laughed, and gave her a little hug. "I really do love chillin' with you, Bee."
"Yeah, you too. Let's not leave it so long next time, huh?" She smirked lopsidedly, hugging him back.
"Make you a deal: I'll come check out your store, but you gotta come to my place sometime and get your inner gamer on with me." Chris crossed his arms again, giving her that grin that would melt, well... pretty much any girl that WASN'T Blake.
"Sounds good to me," Blake laughed. "Just don't get put off if all the women there try to hit on you... wait. I guess that'd be an ego boost more than anything, huh?"
"Come on... only one I don't know is your woman!" He laughed, "Unless you got some secret weapon girl I don't know about, its you, Gwen, and Max! And Max, god love her hotness and that epic rack, is NOT gonna bother me, as frankly? I've already seen her in a bikini. So unless she's gonna flash me? No chance of that affecting me. What else ya got?"
Blake laughed and set her hands down on the table. "Alright, alright. You're immune, I get it."
"I'll stop by this weekend. Promise." He leaned in and gave her, cutely enough, a little kiss on the cheek. "And remember: I mean it. If you want any help planning anything for your wedding, or just some way to have fun before it, let me know. It'd be an HONOR to help you."
"Thanks, dude," she replied, giving him a quick hug. "I appreciate it."
"Anytime, gorgeous. Anytime." He smiled, rubbing her back adoringly.
