The Everyday
Last week’s silence in the city was just the beginning. The streets of Eagle Nest and the paths of Angel Fire are virtually deserted aside from tribal patrols. Travelers move along the enchanted circle, but steer clear from the once crowded trading posts and clubs. A few trades are made, but mostly tribes are staying put. At the middle of summer it is unusual to see tribes cutting into their rainy day supplies, but near the middle of the week it starts with Hearts, and by Saturday the Angels are considering it. Summer and fall are usually the seasons of plenty that the tribes take advantage of to stock their coffers. If the illness, now being referred to on the streets under various names such as the apocaflu, the violet death, and the fever, doesn’t pass soon the tribe could be in serious trouble this winter.
The Aesir loose a member to the illness, and several people from other tribes fall ill. The leader meeting last week found no solutions and alliances, although reaffirmed, feel like they’re wearing thin. It’s no wonder that many are secretly asking themselves if this outbreak could be the end of what they’ve built. Using the airport as a quarantine was ultimately turned down as none of the tribes could risk sparing their medically educated members at a middle ground clinic. Travelers are dying in alarming numbers, as they’re being kicked out of boarding houses when they become ill. Bodies are found along the highway and near the lakes. The only hope for the tribes now is that rising summer temperatures will dry the virus out.
On Friday rumors start to spread that the Lost Girls have found an agent of Violet INC, living in Eagle Nest. If there’s one thing that everyone in this new world loves to blame, it’s Violet INC, and being associated with the company that is rumored to have had a hand in the world’s destruction is not a good thing. Saturday evening has a mob calling for his arrest, and his blood.

Tribe Specific Events
The Angels of Fire
The Angels have continued their beefed up guard, especially at their resource hubs like the garden, the lake and the distillery. The Angels’ traditional midsummer celebration was cancelled on Thursday, including the play that the Noble Hearts were supposed to perform. People are simply too scared to socialize and travel between Eagle Nest and Angel Fire is particularly sketchy at this point. Rescheduling is being negotiated. Food and supply rations are cut slightly this week, and by the end of the week Nemo and Bridget are discussing the possibility of cutting into the tribes cache.
The Lost Girls
The Girls are feeling the strain this week, with several of their members falling ill and security forces being pushed to their limits. To top it off they are cutting into their back stock of goods by Friday. On Friday the Girls are given the opportunity to win favor with the travelers and some of the town folk when they uncover a Violet INC agent. As they’ve been kicking sick people out of their boarding houses all week, they could use the PR of a public “trial”.
The Aesir
The Aesir find their comfortable position slipping, although their food supplies are better off than most. They are spread thin between security and dealing with their own crises. On Wednesday one of their own succumbs to the spreading illness.
The Noble Hearts
Work on the play has come to a stop, as the performance has been suspended. More than anyone, the Hearts are feeling the slowdown in trade. They’ve had to start rationing their food with a closer eye than before, and they aren’t sure what will happen if things don’t pick up in the next couple weeks. Thankfully, none of them have fallen ill as of yet.
