Week Four - Saturday - Eagle Nest [
June 5th, 2012 @ 8:43am
]

foreverett
Who: Rett and Loki
Where: Club Hermes, Loki's room
When: Saturday early afternoon
Why: Loki hides Rett away and tends to his wounds.
Rating: TBD, maybe language.

Loki had been kind enough to take the back way to the Club. He certainly didn't feel like explaining his current state to anyone he knew, let alone to June. He knew that he couldn't hide forever, that he'd have to cook up some story, but for now he just wanted to lay down somewhere quiet. It wasn't that he needed Loki's support to walk, it was only his ribs and his face that were banged up, but the nearness felt nice and reassuring.

He hoped they weren't followed, even if it was no secret where they were going. He felt sick to his stomach, but there was nothing left for him to throw up, just most blood that he'd swallowed from his mouth and nose. His heart was pounding that first half mile back to the club, and despite his safety under Loki's arm he felt a twinge of fear every few steps. He'd been stupid. How did he ever think that he could have a relationship with an Angel? If he'd told Bliss about the trail he would almost have suspected her of telling Ajax, but she hadn't known. He was too tired and focused on putting one foot after the other to really break things down at that point.

Most of the tribe was away at their various jobs by the time they arrived back at the club so they made it upstairs undisturbed. Without even having to ask, Loki took Rett to his own room. Rett sat down on the edge of the bed and leaned on his elbows, resting his forehead on the balls of his palms. He'd stopped crying, but there was a lump in his throat that wouldn't go away. He tapped his left foot in anxiety, his whole body trembling now that they were somewhere safe and quiet.

February 2024 [
January 2nd, 2012 @ 12:01am

stuckndollhouse
Who: No name (Quinn) and Ajax
Where: Angel Fire Barn, Angel Fire lodge
When: February 2024, early morning
What: Some random girl runs and hides in some random barn and Ajax finds her
Rating: PG? PG-13? Depends on language

She all but cried out when she watched her captors drag her sister away. The shock, the hurt and the anger was written all over her face, but she never spoke a word of it. That would only get her into more trouble. But she did start to plan. A plan that would free her from The Fleur, hopefully for good.

She pretended to go to sleep like the other girls, but she waited until she heard the shallow breathing of sleep before making her move. “Excuse me?” she whispered to the guard at the tent entrance. “What the hell do you want?” he sniped. She lowered her eyes immediately and stuttered a bit as she answered, “I.. I need to go.” The guard smiled something awful “Alright cutie, but you know the rule. Stay where I can see that nice ass of yours from your flashlight.” She cringed as he spoke, but was silently thankful that he wasn’t suspicious.

She took the handed flashlight, and took a few steps into the brush. Then she oh-so-lightly set down the flashlight and agonizingly stepped away from it. She knew if she made one wrong noise, he’d be on her. So she picked up her burlap sack of a dress that barely reached her knees, and tied her hair into a knot in itself all so nothing would get caught on any stray branches. She slowly, slowly stepped backwards, minding where she stepped as to not crack any twigs. When she felt enough out of ear shot, she took off! The only good thing about her enslavement was the endurance she got from having to do various “activities”.

She must’ve been a good 2 miles away when the guard realized she was taking way too long in the brush. He sounded the alarm, screaming and hollering “We got a run away!” She never stopped running, dodging branches left and right, catching a few in the face and her arms causing tiny cuts that bled with red lines. When her lungs began to burn and her legs were getting wobbly, she let out a praise when she saw what looked to be the outline of a barn in the dark. She probably ran about 5 miles give or take, and felt exhausted. She walked up to the barn and used the last of her strength to open one door. Once it was open, the small figured, delicate looking girl collapsed on top of the hay, passing out immediately into a deep sleep, not even minding to close the barn door.

June 2023 [

tygra_link
Who: Tygra and Jack
Where: Eagle Nest, Near the high school
When: June 2023, afternoon
What: Tygra is taking Jinx for a walk
Rating: PG-13 (for cussing)

Tygra started her day real lazy. She and her boyfriend slept in, then stayed in bed for another hour "waking one another up" before she got into the shower while he made breakfast. "I'm going to take Jinx out for a walk after we eat. Want to come?" she asked him, wrapping her arms around his waist while he cooked and kissing his bare shoulder. "Hmm.. I would love to, but someone's gotta clean this place. And I was going to work on a flier for our self defense classes, and I need to talk to Loki about when he thinks is a good day for the next cage fight and yadda yadda," he told her reluctantly. He turned to face Tygra, placing his hands on her hips. "You go," he said, kissing her on the forehead, "That way you two can get some fresh air, and check on the gym too. Make sure no vagabonds have taken it over since we got it."

Tygra smiled at her beau. They'd only been in Eagle Nest a year or so, and already they had a "business" running the gymnasium of the old high school, re-named The Four Horses, and both Saga and Loki allowed cage fights and self defense classes to be held there. "Okay babe. But you're taking him the next time." Tygra released her other half and waited at the kitchen table for breakfast. After eating and feeding Jinx, she fetched his longer "leash" and walked outside.

"Come on Jinxy, we're going for a walk today," she told her bobcat friend as she fastened the leash to his collar. Tygra left her hair down that day. Even though it was the middle of June, there still was a nice breeze every now and then, breaking up the heat of summer. She walked Jinx up HWY 64 and towards the high school. The two rarely ran into people in this area and the whole reason for staying at Weathers RV park was to assure nobody got hurt either by Jinx or them trying to hurt Jinx. He was probably one of the most tame animals out there now-a-days because he spent nearly his whole life with Tygra. He was used to the leashes, the cages, the walks and of course attention. To put it straight, Jinx was spoiled rotten and loved it. Tygra walked closer to the gym part of the high school and kept an eye out for anything unusual.

Fall 2023 [
November 9th, 2011 @ 10:55pm
]

volchanov
Who: Erik and Vinci
Where: Aesir Mechanic shop
When: Fall 2023
Why: A chance encounter
Rating: TBD but probably low

Erik was just hanging around the shop, as was his habit. It was like a sanctuary, where he could fiddle and lose himself in the intricacies of working mechanical parts. Working kept his thoughts from wandering down paths he'd rather not go, especially after nights like the one before, when he hadn't slept well, dreams of Xavier and the Vegas suburbs and wandering the wasteland for months had taken hold of him. By the time the sun had risen he'd already been awake for a few hours and rather than lock himself in his room with only uncomfortable memories for company, he had come down here to lose himself in work.

At the moment, he was currently examining an old pocket watch, the gold cover a little dented and discolored, but the engraving of his father's family crest was still visible. It hadn't worked in over a year, but it was all he had left of them, so he kept it with him at all times. The watch was his reminder of those he loved, out in the world or universe or wherever they were.

Seated at the workbench, sunlight streaming through the window directly in front of him, the pocket watch was laid out on the table. For the time being, Erik was just looking at the delicate innards, since having never worked with something like it before, he was wary to poke and prod recklessly, lest he cause more damage. With all his attention on the clockwork before him, he was aware of little else of his surroundings.

Week 1 -- Tuesday -- Angel Fire [
October 19th, 2011 @ 11:51am
]

silas_silvrspur
Who: Silas and Nemo
Where: Horse corral
When: Week 1, Tuesday afternoon
Why: Silas and a horse getting over its suspicions
Rating: tbd

The sandy chestnut filly with the caramel blonde mane had grown to her full height, a tall seventeen hands, yet she looked like the equine equivalent of a teen. Her frame was slender, in need of filling out. When she moved her step was springy and energized, especially when she fled from anyone coming too close. No one could get nearer than thirty feet in open pasture. If her corral was smaller than that, she stayed as far away as possible. She snorted, had her head up high. Her ears flattened and she pawed the dirt nervously, constantly watching the intruder.

That had been last month before Silas singled Merri out for attention. He spent time with her, at first merely staying outside the fence, or sitting on it. His first step into the corral was greeted by the defensive mare's posturings. She moved back and forth at the opposite end, flashing the whites of her eyes. Silas was at his non-threatening best, giving the young mare nothing but calm vibes even before he walked through the gate. He sauntered around casually, never moving quickly. He left apples for her at first. Eventually she would take the red fruit from his extended hand, but cautiously. After using the right poses and just being there, the horse finally felt more curiosity than fear. The filly figured out this calm, steady human wasn't a threat, wasn't there to hunt nor to harm her. Her negativity melted away as the days passed until now. Merri was a relaxed horse. She raised her ears. Her head lowered from her most alert position as she gazed at the back of the man who strolled away from her. With a soft snort, she stepped forward and followed him.

Silas smiled as he felt the final gift of trust from the horse to him. He stopped. She did too but not for long, taking a step forward to push against his shoulder with her nuzzle. For a reward, she got an apple. The man turned to her. He reached out to pat the blonde mane and run his fingers through the strands gently.

Merri pinned her ears back. She raised her head though she stood her ground. Silas turned to see who had approached the corral, feelng quite satisfied that the filly had not just run off like she would have just a short time ago. He nodded to the approaching leader of the Angels.

"Afternoon."
