I never really liked the water much, so why is it that's all I seem to dream about lately?

Maybe your dreams are working on a reverse psychology?

Maybe. I think it's going to take more than a few dreams.

Nothing like repetitive thinking. Dream about it enough, maybe it's something to do with wanting to visit the area.

Isn't that what the subconscious does? Waits until you're at the stage of dealing with it and then unlocks the door you didn't intend to unlock?

And never wanted to open again. Yeah. Seems like it.

And they wonder why I drink. Sometimes the past should just stay in the past.

It's like the lock holds up for a while and then the whole door falls off it's hinges.

That never seems the case though. Are you okay?

Definitely something like that. So long as don't end up with the same wounds.

If your subconscious is pushing this to the forefront though, it might be a sign that you're ready to deal with healing it yourself though.

Maybe.

Clearly my go-to, ignoring it and hoping it goes away, isn't working. Even I can admit it might be time for a new approach.

Maybe acknowledging it and hoping it will go away will work.

I'm not exactly great with coping methods myself.

There's a first time for everything.

Sometimes I think healthy coping methods are overrated.

They absolutely are, only boring well adjusted people have healthy methods.

We wouldn't want to be boring.
