Angela was going to get coffee on her way home. She'd spent the morning out visiting and running errands, both magical and non, and had stopped at the coffee stall next to the Leaky. She hoped they had what it took to make what she liked; she'd always been a woman either of sugary frilly drinks or good black coffee. No middle ground. She'd not expected the line. Or to get into an interesting theoretical discussion with the woman in front of her on the nature of history's enduring influence, even on a personal level.
"For example," She chattered while shifting her weight from one side to the other, "Look at Barty and his father. You can't argue that there was no influence there. Everything reverberates, and what I'm saying is that there's a pattern..."
They all stepped forward as the person at the head of the line received their coffee.
