Wish me luck, all. I have an interview in a few days to see if I can join the local police force. Maker willing, I'll soon have a job that lets me actually wear clothes.

...so, uh, if that falls through, does it really stay warm all year-round here in California like everyone says? Because come winter, this lifeguarding thing is going to get unpleasant as opposed to just awkward, if so.

I really, really can't thank you enough for your help with the application and general advice. I'd like to try, though. Are you still willing to teach me something about the local long-range weapons? I could take you to dinner afterwards. My treat. It's the least I owe you.
