Hi, my name's Pixel, and I'm looking for some guinea pigs, nothing serious, just an experiment with a shared constructed unconsciousness.

Think 'Matrix' just without the post-apocalyptic reality.

Sadly, it's not a paying gig, but I'll make lunch for anyone who's interested, a group of four or five would be ideal, but I'll take whatever I can get.

ETA: My place [London address], Saturday afternoon.

"Shared constructed unconsciousness"?

Are you perchance a Chemist? If not I am sorry; but that word has a specific meaning for me.

I am. Capital letter and all. I take it you know how capital-letter Dreaming works.

My husband and I were Extractor and Architect both. My point man is here as well, though my husband is not.

And here I was thinking I was the only one. I probably would have put out feelers eventually.

... Guess I kind of did by accident. Huh.

I suppose so. My name is Mal Cobb; my husband's name is Dom, and my point man is Arthur, should you encounter him.

I'm sorry, what? I'm French, I don't understand the idiom.

Uh, pulling my leg? Basically means you're screwing with me.

The Cobb name is kind of legendary in our business.

Really. Well, Dom does have a good reputation. I didn't know it was that good. He taught me to Extract, though I was the architect by trade.

Best in the business, so they say. I'm just the one they bring in as backup when their first pick of Chemist falls through.

We've used any and all manner of chemists ... I'm sorry, what was your name?

Pixel. Most recently out of Saint Petersberg, well, before here, anyway. Morocco before that and Chicago before that. I move house a lot.

We were based in Paris ... I don't see a reason to stop that, even if Dom isn't here. Paris is my home, anyway. It's nice to meet you, Pixel.

Nice city. Haven't been there in a while.

Nice to meet you too, legendary status aside, it's good to know I'm not the only one here who knows what I'm talking about.
