I've said it before and I'll say it again, I bloody missed chocolate. I think I ate enough of them yesterday to not want another for... well another 10 minutes.

Another reason to keep civilization up and running, I'd say.

I've still got creme eggs left.

And jellybeans.

More fine reasons to keep this world hunky dory, eh?

But really. Chocolate.

Yes. Exactly. The real stuff, not the milky half-crap stuff from the survival kits.

Do you think we've been born yet? Wouldn't be all over the news here like at home, since everything's out of the ordinary here, don't figure a dozen kids all pale and purple-eyed would make the news.

I don't know, Arkady. I mean, I've been trying to go out and look for anything. I'd guess we'd be able to hear the connection, seeing as we are them.

And someone would claim we're photoshopped or some shite.

Because they can tell by the pixels, and they know from seeing a few shops in their day.

Well, pixels or not, they'll shut up when the camera dissects itself when one of us sneeze. I'd like to see them explain it then.

I sort of want to go look and see if I can find us, but then I remember that you and me are probably here to stop the rest of us, so I don't think I really want to find us, you know?

Well, what if-

What if we found a kidlet version of us and raised her? I mean, we had no bloody idea what we were doing as we grew up, what if there had been an Obi-Wan for us?

That might work. I don't know if we could foster everybody though, and we'd kind of have to to make it work out right, right?

Not everyone and God, I might strangle Luke even if he's little. But one or two, us, to make the first hurdles easy, teach what we did and avoid you-know-what.

But if we do that, then won't you and I stop existing? Or don't you think messing with the timeline applies in a different universe?

Hon, let's remember allllll the great and wonderful things we've done back there and here. Chased and hunted as signs of the apocalypse, or freaks. Punching a hole in the world and trying to protect people who don't know what we did. Having people blip away without a by-the-way, just a stack of cold clothes.

I don't think anyone would be too heartbroken.

Then bet on the parallel universe idea. Or, we pick the KK kid. If altering her wipes me out, then you know to leave the kids alone.

I ought not admit I stole a few morsels out of Elizabeth's basket. I dare say, she needn't eat it all herself.

Oh admit it. What point is getting all of them without a Daddy Tax piece or six?

It's not like I'll tell her.

Angelica warned me she may well notice if a 6 inch solid milk chocolate bunny goes missing. I'm tempted tot take it anyway, on account of the calories...

And how much is she liberating from the basket, I wonder...

Sneaking little bits off the bunny is part of the fun! If there is a noticeable shortage, heh, I have a small mountain of a stash to supplement with.

Good point, KK. I don't think anyone is monitoring her out take.

I don't think a child of Elizabeth's age would be fooled by jelly beans replacing a missing ear.

Mmhmm. Hate to give up the game on her, but I like leveling the field.

That is a strange statement to be coming from a one-armed warrior read. And really, candy is candy!

It is, indeed, a rather odd conversation to be having.

I think it safe to say we are both more comfortable talking shop.

That's progress! Awesome news, even if the impetus I could do without. Is it more comfortable?

It is not nearly as heavy as the former, and in that respect it is more comfortable.

All things considered, I really can not recommend losing a hand.

Good, you handled the other hand well, but you weren't very happy with it.

I bet not. Though it would be great to find a better replacement, biological even. Machines I do, fleshing not so well.

It was what it was. I consider this an upgrade. Perhaps I will look in to something more functional in future.

The doctor who outfitted me with this one accused me of being old fashioned.

Buck up, I'd figure you as more manly than any bloke with both hands.

No doubt. I did not stick around to see.

To his credit, he did try to sway me toward a bionic option. I thought it a bit jarring, given what I have been accustomed to. Even this that I have is still difficult to maneuver.

Somehow, a 17th century man with a futuristic body bit would be very... interesting. On par for around here.
