To all friends of Karen Davis:

As most of you know today Karen was caught in the parking garage collapse at Kent memorial, where was was trapped until after 8 P.M. Karen was rescued and brought to ground level but sustained a sudden head injury. She is unconscious, and the doctors have no idea why they can't wake her up.

Her baby is not in distress. The doctors say he has not been harmed in any way.

I will keep all of you updated, if you wish.

[OOC: Going ahead and posting this part so I have something else to do between thread tags. We all knew it was coming any way.]

I'll come take a look at her while I'm in town, sir. She saved my daughters, apparently. It's the least I can do.

I'd appreciate that, Caleb and I both. I've never seen doctors get so wound up over someone being knocked out.

She's got a lot of friends at the hospital, myself included. Once we get my babies back, we'll come see her.

All right, we're limiting her visitors but you and your family are most welcome.

Long story short: Me and the Kent security guards go way back. And by way back I mean they like to keep me way back from the property. I think 50 feet sounds about right. But I have my handy dandy labcoat for just such an occasion.

Ah.

You must be Shawn. I'm Pete, Karen's dad.

How's she doing?

She's told me about you. When she was awake, I mean.

She's fine, she's breathing on her own, her heart is pumping, her body is performing all it's own processes, it'sj ust not letting her wake up.

All compliments I'm sure.

Well, 90% good news is better than nothing right?

Yes, pretty much. She talked about you like a five year old talks about their big brother, like you were the greatest thing since toast.

Yes, it's just hard. She came so close to being all right and now they don't know what's wrong with her. I'm so glad the baby is all right after the tumble she took.
