"So?"
Liam didn't say anything...
For more than an hour Liam and Tabitha Moon had been sitting in the living room on the first floor of Liam's building in Diagon Alley. Neither had said anything for a quarter of that time...
"Are you just going to sit there staring at that glass in your hand or are you going to say something?" She hated when her brother got like this. It didn't happen often... once after Frank's death, after Carren had run off, after he'd been told flat out by Arina the wicked bitch of Dublin that he couldn't see his daughter... Two of those he'd wound up throwing glasses of firewhiskey against the wall... Liam was a good man, a generally calm and collected man. He was funny and wacky but there were some things...
"Pushing me to talk never works, Tabby," the brown-haired man muttered after several moments.
"I know that but without my doing so you'll just sit there and eventually either fall asleep or I'll leave, and then we would have accomplished nothing!" she let out a sigh and slumped back in her chair. "Now what are you thinking?"
At this Liam raised an eyebrow. She'd always been clever. Able to read him like a book. "You can see the little gears turning from all the way over there, then?" he said with a smirk. Poking fun was what younger siblings did. it was something that Liam had never grown out of....
Tabitha's pointed look was enough to bring him back to the topic at hand. "I spent the day at Molly and Arthur's yesterday... just catching them up on a few things before we went off to the hospital." he paused. "They have the kids there. Xenophilious has taken Luna out of school. Neville is out as well... And with everything that's been going on, I worry that there's something big about to happen..."
He sighed rubbing his temples before takign a sip from his drink.
"You want to pull them out too, don't you?" Tabitha's words were quiet as she realized exactly what was going through his mind.
"I know that it might be a bit premature, but there's a war on..." he sighed. "And I just want both of them to be safe..."
Tabitha put her hand on top of her brother's with a tilt of her head. "We both want that... but you know that Michelle isn't going to want to go..."
"It's a possibility. We'll just have to deal with it though... Think that maybe bringing them, to the manor is best... at least to start. Shell will probably eventually want to go back to the flat..."
"But that's not important right now," Tabby said cutting him off. "The question is, are we doing this? Getting both of them? Arina will have a fit," she pointed out knowing he would react.
"I don't care," his voice was flat. "She's my daughter and this has been going on too long! Having me apparated when I tried to see her? Every time?! I'm not letting this stand. Not anymore," he sighed.
"Alright, then both of them..." Tabitha paused. "We should get the paperwork in and let Molly and Arthur know that they might wind up with another visitor after they get out..."
Liam just nodded, taking another sip of his drink. "Soon my little girl will be coming home," he said quietly.
Tabitha put her hand on her brother's shoulder, having stood up - and shot him a small smile. "Soon."
