Patty invited the whole school minus Slytherin after seeing Teddy's was Slytherin only (before Adrian charmed it for them), but if any Slytherins showed up, she definitely didn't turn them away. She baked lots of treats and also had sandwiches and crisps and plenty of drinks - juices and butterbeer, mainly.

The party takes place at Nott Manor, which is quite an impressive place to live. Kaleigh Nott made sure to put out a delicious spread of food. The guests have access to the lake in the back of the Manor as well as the entire screened porch area that holds tables and outdoor seating. Music blares. Teddy's parents check in periodically, but give space so long as everyone stays in the designated areas. They don't want any baby making tonight!

James was very good at his job, but not so great when it came to punctuality. Oh, if there was a super important mission, he could get himself there on time, but, short of those emergencies, he took his sweet time in life. However, he wasn't late to meet Dorcas because he overslept or got caught up in a game of Quidditch with Harry (both valid excuses in James' opinion), but because he had been at Malfoy Manor. Sure, he was checking in like the good Auror he was, but, mostly, he was lounging around with Narcissa. Draco was at the Nott boy's party so James snapped up the chance to be alone with Narcissa.

Dorcas didn't need to know that. "Sorry, sorry!" he exclaimed as he rushed up breathless. "I needed to stop by the Malfoys. You know how that goes. I needed to check the wards, ask a few questions, the usual..." He plopped down across from her. "Tell me you ordered me something. I am starving."

Thank me now, not later. I am brilliant, I know. I found these journals while in Diagon with Harry. Hell of a lot quicker and easier than fire chats, no? Not touching slow arsed owls. Keep them hidden and be smart. Good way to keep an eye.

George kicked back relaxedly in one of the chairs in the upstairs room of the Shrieking Shack. He would stick to his word of not sneaking Trish out of the castle on a date, this was true. He wasn't going to break that promise to her, although he did feel as though they could go on far superior dates if they did, but ... Well, he liked her, and he was willing to compromise on that issue since it was only going to be for a few more months anyways. And she'd worked hard to become Head Girl. He didn't want to ruin that for her, but at the same time, he couldn't change his nature - and he didn't want to, anyway.

"Been a while since we've been back here," he said to his twin brother, grinning.

Cade had gone to his room only long enough to change clothes and grab his journal, avoiding everyone along the way. He'd then gone straight to the room where he and Terry often met, making himself pillows to sit on and sitting back against the wall, journal hugged to his chest as he tried to breathe in the familiar scent. He was here, he was safe, and he hadn't been forced into anything. On the other hand, he wasn't sure he'd ever be safe again outside these walls. He wondered if his father was going to somehow pay for this, and he wasn't sure what he thought about the idea.

Once his hand was steady, he wrote a journal entry to Trish, Adrian, Annie, and Terry, then he flipped back through the journal and saw Terry's inkblot and replied there as well. Then he closed his eyes and tried to steady his nerves as he waited.

Tracey didn't want to be back at Hogwarts. She much preferred being at home rather than school. She knew she wasn't such a good student and when she planned on being a wife and mother after school, what was the point of an education? Although, she did enjoy Charms class.

After classes were over, Tracey headed back to Slytherin. She spotted Teddy right away. It felt like forever since she had talked to him. "Hi you!" Tracey said. "Didn't see you at all during the break. How was it?"

WHO: Ernie MacMillan & Neville Longbottom
WHAT: Happy New Year!
WHEN: Ernie & Neville are ringing in some good times.
WHERE: Ernie's house.

Ernie's last experience involving a significant other visiting his house had been that previous summer---it had been horridly humiliating, what, with his sisters and parents giggling and asking crazy questions. However, having a boy set his nerves on edge even more than when Melinda visited. His family acted supportive, but it was a new thing for them all. However, Ernie planned the evening carefully. He asked Nev to arrive after his sisters' left on their dates. With that obstacle out of his way, he only had his parents left.

Jean and Ernest MacMillan didn't treat Neville any differently than they usually did though Jean did hug him a little longer than normal and Ernest couldn't help making a joke about treating his boy well. All in all, they were no more embarrassing than usual which Ernie felt grateful about.

"I am lucky," he told his boyfriend. "Brilliant family AND boy."

It was hard sometimes to find time with his father. Especially with guests in the house, and work interfering, and life being as complicated as it was this year. But Neville couldn't let it drag on any longer, and he wasn't sure if his Mum had said anything, and every bit of time that passed he felt awful in his gut that he hadn't said anything yet. So he made time to slip away from everyone else just for a bit, and he found Frank.

"Dad?" His voice squeaked a bit, which was embarrassing, but nerves made his throat feel tight. "Can we talk? Um. Privately."
