Once word reaches the courtroom that Marie's statue has been destroyed, whether by a general announcement or rumor making its way up through the room, Edmund's face will lose what color it had through the trial. He blames himself almost as much as he blames the Witch and her general.
[ooc - Say the trial is adjourned for the day when the emergency status is announced? If so, that's when Edmund would get his sword. Unless he's ordered elsewhere, he'll sit with it across his lap and participate in discussions by tablet. And probably start talking to/ asking questions of the Witch as unwise as that is and whether or not she acknowledges them.]
