Tales of Lore

Just FYI for anyone who might be interested in following the story, Arionrhod and I are posting "The Sultan and the Storyteller" on our joint site here, updating with one new chapter every day through November 30. We'll be posting reminders every so often throughout the month at lupin_snape. Currently, 7 chapters and roughly 30,000 words out of around 180,000 words total have been posted so far.

So, I know I've been mostly absent here since this wonderful community was revealed to me, but that's because I did, indeed, turn a decade, which meant a helluva lot of celebrating in real life. My family, especially, wanted in on the fun this year, and I have to say, it was special to me to spend such time with them, as well as all my super "physical" friends.

But that doesn't mean that I'm not touched and incredibly honoured to have received this community from my other friends here. In fact, I'm going to have such a fun week going over these entries! I've been peeking and longing for time and I think I'll finally be getting it starting tomorrow. Until then, though, I wanted to give something back to you.

When Karasu revealed the community to me, I was so overwhelmed and full of happy and love for you all, that I could only think of how much I wanted to share my delight. So, I recorded my initial reaction to the community, starting about 5 minutes after I found out about it. It only covers entries that were up that first night, through Geminia. I didn't mean to share it openly at first, but I thought after such a long silence, maybe everyone would like to know how much I genuinely appreciate this.

Even though my comments stop at Gem's entry, I want you to know that I've had similar reactions to all the entries since. I feel so damn lucky and humble that all of you took the time to post here, be it with well wishes, art, stories or other wackiness. I love it all, and I love you all. Thank you so much for being a big part of an incredible birthday "season". *SMUSHES YOU ALL WITH HUGS*

I'm sorry that these wishes are late. I had originally wanted to do something big for you, because you're really amazing, but it wasn't in the cards right now. I just wanted to say that I hope you had a wonderful day and many more to you in the future. Thank you for being an awesome friend, mod, and person all around.

Eep, I'm late! Still, a very happy birthday to you. It's been said a million times, but you've done such an awesome, awesome job as mod that I commend you for probably half the reason why my beloved OTP still endures despite the books ending, nonsensical marriages and character deaths. I bow at your awesomeness.
