I have no playlists. *weeps* How am I supposed to paint with no playlists. Well there is always the whole plug iPod type arrangement but still, I weep for my playlists!
I also I have a new IJ layout :D This makes me happy. Also makes me thrashflail with the need for new icons and an updated links list.

I really need some new icons. Actually, I really need to pay for my IJ account again come to think of it. I can't remember the last time this was a paid account...
Hmm, maybe a new layout too. Time for a bit of a change up I think.

Okay. Today is Tuesday. My goal for this week is to finish my Kiraen portrait and do two more by this time next week. This is a pretty easy goal since I can usually finish a portrait in about five hours but I am starting off small and working my way up. This is mostly so I can factor in work retardery and not feel like a complete failure if I set myself a harder goal and not even get close to reaching it.
EDIT:
My devart page looks abandoned again (which it pretty much has been). I need to start uploading to that again.

My mother added a handful of blueberries to my cereal this morning, perfectly innocently, as I have blueberries all the time. ... WITH VITABRITS.
Thus through the house there did echo: "What are you DOING?! What are you-- BLUEBERRIES DO NOT GO WITH NUTRIGRAIN." "Blueberries go with everything!" "RUINNNSES ITTTTT."
And this is why you shouldn't add things to my food before I have consumed tea: impromptu Gollum impressions.

District 9 was amazing. Amazing. I fear I think it should be viewed by everyone, everywhere, as soon as possible. I felt ill for a lot of it. But it was amazing. Really well-crafted, and perfectly book-ended by the 'news coverage'. It starts you off with a documentary, isn't-this-fascinating feel, then drops you right into the middle of the horror, from a number of angles, and then pulls back at the end and bookends it again, like this is how easily you'll forget. And because it made that point, you won't.
It was amazing. Go watch it.

Where the hell has my day gone?!
I keep looking up at the clock and being stuned by the time. I mean, sure I've been busy and the time usually goes fast but I feel like I've not done nearly as much work as I should for how much time has past. The meeting about the new web-based campaign and working with Jo to get the proposal done took me up to 11:30 cue me going wtf when I looked at the clock. Then the Delegate: How To manual and a flyer for the Education Campaign has taken me through to quarter to 3. I haven't really finished anything!
I did have a yummy caeser salad for lunch though.

Yeah. So. The following shall be a recap of everything worth noting that's happening to me in the last few weeks because I totally fail at writing in this thing despite telling myself over and over that I want to IJ this and IJ that. Argh. Yes. So.
- Work still hasn't sorted out my employment details properly. I am still in limbo land with each month dragging on til the next, my current 'project' being extended because meetings get canceled and posponed. I am supposed to get some idea this week when yet another meeting is scheduled to discuss it. I am not holding my breath. - Despite not knowing how I am being employed from month to month, work has been both interesting, frustrating, irritating and BUSY. I am working pretty much from 7.30ish to about 5.30/6.00ish every week day and doing at least something on the weekends. One minor payoff to this is Channel 7 news actually used my footage from one of our rallies for its story because their cameraman failed to get anything. I have it taped XD - Somehow, despite having to get up at 6am, drive an hour to work, work for 8 plus hours then drive an hour back home again, cook dinner (or stop off to get it), feed them animals, do chores and keep up a household I've managed to both win NaNoWriMo this year and finish Assassin's Creed 2. I honestly do not know how I did this. Probably lack of sleep. - NaNoWriMo has given me three new characters who I already love and a new verse to play around with. I am not sure if this is a sensible thing but it's something that I am excited about all the same. - I HAVE MY NEW COMPUTER. It is sexy and awesome and powerful and big and shall be known as Anthion. Also the new Magic Mouse is the best. thing. ever.
I am sure there is more things to make note of but I am pretty much sucky at remembering things XD

Okay. It is officially impossible for me to finish NaNo this year unless I start writing at work, and that's okay. I want to concentrate on writing all year 'round, not just during NaNo, and I need to learn to make that a priority. Therefore it is okay that I do not finish NaNo this year, when I have so much else going on.
I may need you all to remind me of this over the next week when the inevitable I suck, I can't even finish NaNo, I'm too lazy to be a writer depression sets in. I predict onset about noon tomorrow, but hey, it could be noon today because I know I'm not even going to try. Surprise! Only, y'know, not really.

I appear to be losing weight. I don't know what's going on. I assume it's just the more or less regular sleep. I am okay with this. I should start walking home of an evening, too, and kick it up a notch with small, regular snacks so my metabolism picks up a little.
I won't, but I should.
Friday night with Rage = I feel like I've had a full weekend already. ♥ We went out to James' golf club last night for dinner while he had a meeting, and came home and watched movies... which pretty much carried over into late afternoon today, actually, because it was way too hot to do anything else. XD Met her new kitten, who is very much a young lady cat at this point, and all soft and lanky. Imriel still loves me. (He knows who skritches best.) And solved a few of the cryptography puzzles in her copy of the XKCD book, although I didn't get all of the dancing men out before I left, which makes me sad. "Started with four letters _ut ..." blah blah. I'll get the rest eventually. I know I've combined 'f' with something else, though, because otherwise the last word makes no sense. Damn eyesight failing me deep in the night...
Had a dream that... I think started out as a zombie dream, and became a sort of spy road trip (I blame Die Hard 4.0), and then became an Elbow concert. I think I was with Tree and Rage during the road trip, but I remember some people from work around the fringes of the concert, too. No idea. XD Great car chases, though.
And now I must endeavour to do all the cleaning and washing while also writing 18455 words before 2pm tomorrow. HAH.

Okay, self. This, here? This is not sleeping. This is getting up from bed, after failing to stop brain from thinking, and downloading music. Not a fail safe plan. However, redeemable. You may commence copying the music to a music playing device and attempt being lulled to sleep by it, the Silent Hill Shattered Memories soundtrack.

The only benefit of going out is being reminded how much I really don't like it.
Admittedly, in this case, also finding a restaurant with really yum food.

As in 'work to do' not as in 'has left the building'.
There's still plenty more to do, of course, but I am waiting on people. So if they haven't gotten back to me in the morning, I'm totally taking the day off and taking back some of the hours I'm owed. This evening, that is meant to mean V, District 9, and NaNo, but... I'm tipping Assassin's Creed II will win out over the latter.
Also, as of today, I'm on unpaid DW time. :( Will probably renew that later this evening, but awww. I could have sworn that email said I had two months left, and was not two months ago. :(

6am start and 8pm finish on a night where I probably only got like five hours' sleep? You know where my coherence is at right now. Every Tuesday is an endurance run and I don't know why that is. On the bright side, zips are off for another build, so... I'm writing some release notes tomorrow, and reconfigurating reconfiguring some books for the translators, and then... going the hell home. Or maybe getting the damn book we spent all day on today to build again. The guys all pulled together magnificently for me, and now we're being thwarted by tables that should be variablelists. AUGH.
Or, as I just said to Tina, copying EAP docs to the ECS repo so we can start cutting them down for EWP as soon as... that guy... gets back to me with a component list. Yeah. But we have to wait on other stuff first, so... yeah. Stuff.
NaNo is maybe not such a great idea at this point. |D; Goodnight, interwebs.

So I just realised I have maybe two nights to myself over the next week. o.0 I know it's that time of year, but really? Really? Gah!
Work today was much better than it has been for a while, due mostly to my mood improvement. Sudden week-long crashes are really not awesome, I am just saying. It's not really gone yet, and this is... nine days and counting, I think... but it's certainly much less severe this week. That is excellent all by itself.
Watching Merlin, and then trying to get some writing in before bed. Two hour meeting that starts at 6am tomorrow. Then weekly meeting at ten. Then meeting about cleaning the middleware docs the fuck up... |D; It's going to be a long, unproductive day, I fear. I can't concentrate enough to do anything useful if I can't get up any momentum.
For the record, that final scene of Merlin 209? Just made up for an ENTIRE SEASON of fucking up everything to do with Merlin and Arthur's friendship.

1) Tickets to New Moon. (No, I'm kidding, it was actually kind of okay. Except that NO ONE HAS FACIAL EXPRESSIONS. Actually, I take that back: Edward has more facial expressions than everyone else. I CANNOT HELP BUT FEEL THAT THIS SAYS SOMETHING.)
2) Cute Underwear. (But who feels guilty for that? It is so cute.)
3) Assassin's Creed II and Dragon Age: Origins. (.... I got nothin'.)
It was great to wander around with Neek again, although far too bloody hot for it. XD Damn summer!
Currently trying to convince myself that I should NaNo instead of playing video games. Since I have, y'know, this week to catch up. >_> And I'm still not halfway. Sigh.
