Who: Loki and The Winter Soldier
Where: The Park, to start
What: Loki sees a shiny
When: Wedsnesday
Rating: High for themes
Open: Nope
Status: Ongoing

Loki had grown tired of this world. He spent his days playing his pawns delicately in place; the violent cannibal had been using the gift Loki had given him but had so far not paid Loki the favour back and Loki did not ever forget. The God Bragi, restored to full powers, had yet to use them to their true potential and yet Loki could not goad him more. Perhaps the mortal Anders wasn't worth the power Loki had given him after all. The pathetic stench of humanity lingered in the air, relieved only by the complex minds, the powerful and the dangerous. He loved those people and followed them with marked interest.

Then there was the man he had met, the one they called the Winter Soldier. He might be groomed well, be clean cut on the outside but if there was one thing he was, it was a cold-blooded murderer. If the Black Widow's ledger gushed and dripped red, then the Winter Soldier's was made of blood. He caught him now, walking the paths of green grass and scented summer flowers though neither were enough to cover his smell of war and murder.

Loki, shielded by his power, observed the man himself, looking for more cracks as he always did.

James walked through the park, though he did keep still keep an eye on the twins playing not far away. The two year olds loved playing with their ball and didn't seem to mind that he wasn't playing with them at the moment.

He held the journal in his hand as he walked, thinking about the pictures he'd seen. Rogers had drawn pictures of him, but he didn't know why. He shook the thought away. It didn't matter. He'd already texted the man and told him that he'd return the journal when they were done at the park.

Loki knew the hand of those drawings straight away. He could admire the soul in the portraits and feel that it came from darkness and a pit of emptiness inside him rather than an admiration. The work was tortured beauty, not empty happiness full of shallow demeanour.

He wanted it. He wanted to look into Rogers's soul and find his way in but the book was secured in the maniac's hands. He would need to be smarter than that, especially with the phone in his hands.

"Soldier." Loki whispered into Barnes's ear.

James looked around quickly. No one called him that here. Not since he'd chosen to go by his name. He shook it away, deciding it was just a ghost from his past that needed to be ignored.

Loki's eyes narrowed and he waved his hand. The sketchbook's closed pages leaked blood, dripping it onto the soldier's hands. "убийца..." he whispered

[ooc: murderer]

James looked down, dropping the journal as soon as he saw the blood. He started to panic. He knelt down and tried to wipe the blood off in the grass. "No!"

Loki laughed spitefully. Scared of such things, how pitiful for a true murderer like James. After watching the mortal scrambling, metal arm glinting, he made the blood vanish without a trace.

The book fell open on a portrait of the Winter Soldier himself. "Your work has been a gift to man kind." Loki mimicked Pearce's voice, seeing inside James's mind.

He closed his eyes, taking a deep breath. "No." He sighed.

Gen noticed his distress. She slowly walked over to him. "Winso?"

He forced a smile. "I'm okay, Gen."

Loki beamed at the little girl he spoke to, obviously not his own children but sentimentally sweet, nonethelesss stupidly human.

"Hmm..." he murmured to himself. He closed his eyes and summoned up a black smog, swirling smokey whisps that surrounded them all, the voices of his past taunting him enough so Loki could grab the sketchbook.

Gen gave him a quick hug and then ran off to play with her brother again. James smiled at her just before the black fog appeared.

He closed his eyes and put his hands over his ears, trying to block it out. "Нет! Это не кто я! Это не я!"

"It'll always be you." Loki thundered, snatching the sketchbook away from James while he was distracted. The storms thundered and struck with lightning, the screams of his victims calling out.

And then it died, everything quiet and everything dead. He would not harm the children, he was no maniac, but the man before him was another. He was a psychopath.

Loki slipped the book into his possession and stood in front of James.

"Thank you for you co-operation." He beamed widely and disappeared.
