Thena, their horse, runs. Her hooves clatter against rock as she races downhill. At the bottom, outside the wards, Severus wraps his arms around Harry and activates the Portkey that spins them all home,
On arrival, Severus and Harry slide off Thena. Supporting each other and their stumbling horse, they walk through the gates towards Hogwarts. Another day, they'll have to return and fight Voldemort. But today, they are safe.
