Thank you so much!

I'm really overwhelmed with the response. Still, I guess if I can still watch the video myself after so many times, then there's something to it. :D

This? Is fantastic. Everything came together beautifully - the visuals, music, emotional hints and terrific payoff at the end. :D

I'm really glad you like it. When I heard that song for the first time, it just sounded so Snarry, I knew I had to use it for the games.

And Harry and Snape's kids had been playing around in my head for a while now!

Well there has always been artwork that in the past, I have wanted to be able to give a 10.

Yours is the first I'd like to be able to give a 20!

This was so tender and touching. I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes.

There are so many great pieces of art that I love in the games, but after seeing this one, it has to be my number one favorite.

Thank you so much. Seriously. This is the first time I've had comments like this, and I'm completely floored.

I did the storyboard to match with the music, wanting to create a kind of story where the characters are redeemed through their children. Where the kids were the embodiment of hope, and the fathers have lost all hope. And then the kids are able to restore their faith in the future.

Anyway, I'm really happy with how many people have been able to draw so much from it.

I love this future. ^_^

Unbelievable

I've never commented on fan fiction or art until now; never felt the need. I just can't let this exquisite tribute to love, loyalty, and forgiveness go by without comment. The moment when Harry cradles Severus' hand against his face, eyes closing...sorry, I must collect all the moist little shards of my heart that seem to have scattered on the floor around my chair. I spent several years rooting for Severus (my favorite character), only to be left aghast and adrift by DH. Thank you so much for giving Severus and Harry (and their children!) the ending they deserve.

I'm so glad everyone was able to draw the emotion out of the video. It was a long time in coming, and I wanted to do it justice.

And yeah, I was so upset with how the characters were left hanging at the end of the book, and ptsd wasn't addressed at all, and once Voldemort was dead everthing was sunshine and roses again.

NOT what I know about war.

Anyway, yeah, I was always upset that every father figure was taken away from Harry, and then here he is as a "perfect father".

Well, not in my world. They have their issues, and I wanted their children to be the healing device for them. And also the harbingers of hope.

At any rate, thank you for your comments! I'm so glad you liked it!

Thank you so much for your comment. Yeah, when I heard the music the first time, I just about stopped my car so I could listen to it all the way through and just think about how Snarry it was.

And then the story came to me.

I had to watch it twice before i get it. I haven't been paying much attension to HP fandom for a while and I thought I've lost my touch.
but once I did get it, I was totally blowed away. Sweet can't even begin to cover it, I especially like the helpless little Severus. Gorgeous art work. <3

Thank you so much! I really wanted to give them some kind of redemption after not having any closure in the books.

This was how I envisioned their forgiveness of each other.

This was an awesome vid; so much emotion and expressiveness, even when we didn't see people's faces. You draw wonderful eyes!

I hope you do post all of the images in order when you have a chance so that we can study and enjoy them more closely. Perhaps even with a touch of narrative for each picture. Scrapbook anyone? ;)

I will post them all in my journal as soon as the voting is finished and closed.

I was planning on posting them with just a line about what happens in each picture. ^_^

I keep coming back to view this entry - it makes me smile and cry all at once.

A few of the things I love about it: Jimmy definitely looks like he might be a bit Weasley, Al's cute summer outfit and her bare toes, how the motion of her tossing the bottle is shown in just one drawing, Al is so cute - and beautiful - while resembling her father so much, that Harry and Severus have finally found each other, and the part that makes me cry - the message in the bottle!

I don't think I've even loved a piece of any fanart more!

thank you so much! In a couple of days I'm going to post all of the drawings from the work, as well as a few that didn't make it in.

I wanted to keep with canon as much as possible. And since she just left Snape there on the floor of the shack, I consider him being rescued as going along with canon, as well.

Anyway, that's why I wanted to make sure Jimmy looked like Ginny, too.

Thank you so much for your comment. I can't wait to see what femme does with this in fic. :D

It's wonderful, especially the song, almost made me cry with each "we thought we lost you".
The touches, teh emotions, everything they "said" without one word ;)

This is lovely! I particularly love your Harry, a mature adult yet with the shadows of the boy he was still on his face. Great art!

I don't think I can say anything that hasn't already been said about how wonderful this is. I really enjoyed the way you panned through the pictures and selected things to highlight. The zoom in on the bottle at the end was fabulous and as powerful as anything that had come before it. I think that more than anything drives home the child's POV.

As wonderfully fabulous as it was as a movie, I'd also love to see the still frames of this as well. I'm sure it changes the impact of certain frames over others, but I must admit I'm curious. (Not to mention fed up with my dial-up which makes movie watching take 5 hours or more)

This is more spectacular than anything of yours I've seen before, and as much as I love your other work... you've raised the bar on yourself. I can't wait to read what Femme does with the narrative and how it compares to what all of us have running around in our brains right now.

Wow.

This was fabulous! I'm not in the HP fandom at all, and I've only seen the movies, but I still found the narrative really easy to follow, and your editing, choice of lyrical/musical cues and the illustrations themselves all had a lot of emotional power and resonance. Congratulations on producing a really first-rate vid! You're a really talented artist, and I hope you'll do more soon!

Here via crack broom...

This is stunning! The amount of time and dedication just blows me away. I'll have to watch it over and over to pick up on all that was being told in this story!

Thanks for sharing it with us!

I joined IJ just to be able to tell you how utterly fantastic this creation was. It stumbled my way via crackbroom on LJ and I confess to watching it about a dozen times and reccing it to all I know.

I noted your smithpotter community and will be joining it. I have written several long/short fics (over on LJ and other archives: http://iamstarmom.livejournal.com) and am totally inspired to write this story. Let me know if you have any objections. I will post it there first!
