Faelan stubbed out his cigarette, tossed it in a nearby bin, and pushed open the door to the new book shop, the cheerful jangling of the bell almost lost in the sound of the small chattering crowd inside. He'd meant to come down sooner, in hopes that the place wouldn't be too overrun yet, but he'd gotten caught up in a painting, and then there was work, and lessons with Gaius, and before he knew it, the days had ticked away.
In one hand he grasped a half sheet of parchment, on which Gaius had written a list of books for him to seek out to further his "education". He was just about to suck it up and ask for some help when he noticed the only shopkeep in the place was a beautiful, exotic-looking girl with a shining smile, and he ducked his head, stepping behind a curtain and into an alcove, burying his nose in the nearest shelf, grateful for the cover. Surely he could find the book himself if he just looked harder...
With a slow growing frown, Faelan began to notice an odd assemblage of titles on the shelf in front of him. A Thousand and Thirty-Seven Spells for the Sack, Making Him Moan: Tricks of the Tongue, Moving Paint: A Collection of Homoerotic Art-
Casting a quick glance around, Faelan pulled the book off the shelf and stared at the cover. There, in vivid detail, was a moving print - two men pressed skin to skin, hands clasped, tongues tangling, sweat glistening, strokes of paint catching light, glowing flesh...
