Prompt: #12 A number of years after the war, Harry finds Snape in a completely Muggle environment. He comes to realize that the cost of surviving the snake bite from hell was Snape's magic.
Summary: For years he had imagined seeing him, a glimpse around every corner, a face in every crowd; everyone looked like him, yet no one did. This time, however, Snape is real - pitifully real - and it is Harry's turn to help him.

Huh, for some reason I thought I'd reviewed this earlier. At any rate, I really like this picture, it is a good example of your strengths: the expressive faces, the way that you often don't have a real background, but the picture tells quite a narrative anyway.

Harry, after years of thinking that he’s seen Severus, when finally confronted with the man, can hardly recognize him. Your Severus is striking, particularly in contrast to Harry’s good health: pale, hair mussed, so worn down that he cannot summon his trademark vitriol against Harry.

I really like Harry’s scruffiness, it is almost a choice compared to Severus’ lack of care.

	Great capture of a moment of surprise. Snape's pallor and unhappiness is so evident, as is Harry's evident health (distracted and distraught though he seems -- clearly finding Severus will be a good thing for him). Lovely work. As always. :D (Reply to this)

	Oh poor Snape... But, he gets to wear green turtlenecks which really suit him ^_^ It's so funny, because this is such a unique example of Snape as a muggle (at least that I am aware of :-)). Great art! And now I really want to know what happens next. :-) (Reply to this)

Such a wonderful, significant moment - beautifully captured. The more I look at it, the more I love it. There are so many implications and possibilities for the future in the way their eyes meet. Harry looks cautiously optimistic, yet ready for another disappointment, whereas Severus, despite his slumped shoulders and weariness, has definitely had his curiosity piqued. They both have gorgeous hair and fascinating, detailed faces. I love the hopeful green surrounding Severus. The title is perfect.

	There is much to love here, but I want to say how much I love how you do their hair. Rumpled, unkempt or wind-blown, their hair speaks as much as they do. You also convey so much through their expressions. Beautiful. (Reply to this)
